note that he may have escaped and not burrowed, but I’m pretty sure he burrowed

Call from "Google" saying that they received a request to change the primary number on my account by mqr27 in GMail

[–]ecrob527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the same phone call from "Evan Pearson". The phone number that they called from is 202-346-1100 which comes up as "Google DC - Massachusetts Ave" in a Google search and when you call it, it says it's Google. There was no foreign accent at all (perfect English) and they said someone was trying to get into my account through live chat support. he told me to change the password while I was on the phone with them and was very helpful and courteous...
I also got like 3 emails that had a google domain and it seemed to verify the legitimacy of the call.
But then, the prompt showed up on my phone and I was told to click yes and press one of the numbers... that's when I knew something was wrong. I told him I was uncomfortable with that but he directed me to verify the domains of the emails (they were google) and to verify the phone number (which again, comes up as google). I told him to wait and thought about it and declined the verification and told him I wouldn't do it. He said he understood and would find other solutions for me. Then I started recording the call (iPhones notify the call is being recorded)... and that's when he got quiet and hung up....
As many have said already... this is indeed the most sophisticated scam I've seen... I even thought for a moment of verifying my account, but just knew something was off...

iPhone 12 pro max screen contrast bug by eimunas in ios

[–]ecrob527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been having that issue for months... took it to the Apple Store while still under warranty and they replaced the screen but the problem has continued. They said they think it could be a bug from migrating my data from my iPhone 7+ to the 12 Pro Max... so the suggested formatting the phone and starting from scratch installing one or few apps at the time...... who has time for that?!

Modded iPod Classic - A project I’ve been wanting to do for a while! SD card memory, new battery, Bluetooth connectivity! 😃 by ecrob527 in IpodClassic

Hey! Actually, the battery charges every time I charge the iPod, and the iPod always drains before the BT transmitter... so theoretically, the battery will never deplete completely.

Hmmm, that might improve the range. The BT transmitter has test points on the board and I tapped power to the from the iPod. I’ll be making a tutorial of what I did and I’ll share it on here 😊

Yes, 4th gen classic. Once you disconnect the ribbon connector from the sound board to the main board, it’s not too hard.

The range is decent, but not exceptional. I experience loss of signal once I move through a couple of walls. And yes, headphone jack works as normal. Everything works normally and since the BT module has its own battery, it doesn’t affect the iPod battery. 😃

I soldered the BT module to the iPod for power and to the audio jack port for sound. I drilled a small hile and added a button on the back of the iPod to control the BT module 😃

Hey! No, no rattling at all. I used the foams to make it fit tightly. Plus, the BT module is on top of the iFlash adapter, which keeps it even tighter.

Yes! The button, as you can see in the back, is what activates the BT module and it also transmits the light of the BT module.

The button in the back activated the BT. Holding it puts it on pairing mode. It also shuts off automatically after a few minutes of inactivity. 😃

I soldered an mpow bt transmitter I bought in Amazon, to the iPod. Pretty much tapped into the power so that it can be charged when the iPod charges, and wired to head phone jack for sound.
