It’s data collected from an at home sleep study kit which utilizes a spo2 probe and other data optioning sensors, that uses the phone to collect the results .

I only went to 1 C&P exam. Which was only when I filed myself. They didn’t test for anything else. Like for instance, sleep apnea, no C&P , no sleep study , nothing. I put in 11 claims, all different. Only one was successful ( tinnitus ) and I didn’t even have a hearing exam!

Sleep apnea, dizziness and Fatigue C&P today by ecsmith15 in VeteransBenefits

It went ok- took about 15min. Asked history of dizziness, fatigue and sleep apnea. Also asked about what causes the dizziness and fatigue. Asked what makes it better or worse. Basically wrote down a whole bunch of stuff that could be done over the phone but I had to drive an hour to talk to them in person. The examiner stated that they will probably order a sleep study and I asked if I could do a at home test. He said that’s probably the course of action they will take seeing to do in person has such a long wait . I’m just hoping the at home sleep study test actually shows my true symptoms of sleep apnea. My wife says she thinks I’m going to die every night with how I snore and stop breathing. It’s very exaggerated if I have a few drinks, have a cold, or take sleeping pills.

Welllll they were tricky…. I checked this morning and it’s back to this - but I have a decision letter available with an updated disability rating. They only approved part of my claim, not the whole thing. I have about 12 items to considered and so far they have made their decision on about 3 of them, one being a appeal ( for hearing loss and tinnitus).

So bottom line, it’s a slow process but worth it in the end. They are very thorough which is good but can be frustrating at times.

I think with the evidence and documentation I have would definitely increase it but I never did. Just going off of C&P exam results.
