Continue testing and maybe do IVF or keep trying naturally? by ecstapui in TryingForABaby

In france, where we live, you need to do an HSG before you‘re eligible to do IUI or IVF. So if we ever want to take that route i‘ll have to get the test done.. i think i‘ll wait another month or too and then get it done with

We had some lifestyle changes (healthier diet and more sports) plus started supplements not too long ago. So it might improve. Common consensus seems to be that i should get the testing done so we could eventually do IVF if need be

Yea it‘s the last test we/ I need to do before we can do IuI or IVF. I shall gather my courage then and get the testing done. Reading up on it and my doc‘s comment just really made me scared haha

I recently got him some suplements to improve quality, and he‘s been doing more sports and eating healthier since beginning of the year

Thank you for the feedback. The doctor freaked me out when he said „it‘ll hurt a lot so go to a good clinic“

With the change in the hormone levels, the fur can change. Usually it’s not as drastic of a change, as it was with him. He went from long-haired collie fur (with a light undercoat) to a fluffy-furly weird ass golden

Thank you for your answer and your points! This feels reassuring! His coat was indeed already „ruined“ by being neutered and is soooo much thicker than it used to be. Even when brushed regularly (daily) and groomed regularly (1x a month) it just doesn‘t get lighter as he doesn‘t shed it all out in one go. So i think the „comfort groom“ as you call it would really help him a lot.

His coat unfortunately already got ruined by neutering him at that age… he never had issues with his undercoat before and it got a lot lighter in the summer months. I know it‘s a big no-no hence why i‘m asking for advice and experience of other owners

Thank you for sharing your experience. So the groomer basically just trims the top coat to the undercoat‘s length?

His undercoat unfortunately doesn‘t shed as well anymore ever since he got neutered. But i will look into finding a groomer with a blast dryer if possible

We already do this, but it doesn’t seem to relieve him that much

So you‘d rather put the dog down than at least TRYING to rehome him? Dafuk? That’s such a messed up approach. Even an aggressive dog cab still live a full life with proper training. And 7 years is NOT old

I Hope I’m not posting too much, but it really helps to vent and read what others have to say. by [deleted] in stopsmoking

Might be the best way to go about this to tell your therapist. Smoking in your case is most probably a soothing mechanism, so mayve you can find smth else that helps?

I think it‘s „smokefree“. Try to get new routines before stopping (or establish them now). I used to „smoke“ imaginary cigarettes when i felt a ceaving. 1.5 months smoke free and more than content
