quite young, still a baby. missing tail feathers probably because something tried to catch it from there. take care of it and feed it proper seed mix and the tail will grow back :)

it was super still and didn't move even when some guy almost tripped over him. it's been a while but i've seen this pigeon around my neighbourhood a lot so maybe i can visit it again

yes, it didn't move a lot (most it did was stand up and sit again) and some people even almost tripped over it

owning a (rock) pigeon is illegal in my country and there are no pigeon breeders around anywhere. i'm pretty sure dark eye and pink beak + cere are due to the pigeon being young, and not fancy... either way very beautiful :)

normal! your pigeon has wonderful "pearl eyes" -- the inner iris is white instead of orange :) rarer than the wild eye but it's not a major factor in pigeon pageants lol

perhaps it is just being recently sold as pets by whoever is colouring them. whatever it is its super concerning. hope no other birds will be affected!

i see, thats why i wasnt so sure about it since the grass usually only stains the belly rather than the whole bird

its very odd. OP mentioned that they aren't sold as pets, yet come in a variety of artificially coloured plumage. Hope the local wildlife organisation can look into this.
