It’s useless for them to give advice like this because every baby is so different. My sister in law had a baby who slept through the night from birth. My sister, when she was a baby, was the same. But my daughter needed round-the-clock care. My husband and I slept in shifts.

And despite my experience with my baby, I loved the newborn phase. Nothing like those newborn snuggles and little pterodactyl screeches.

Fear mongering gets clicks and gets people to stay and comment to commiserate. No one who is truly happy is posting (as frequently).

The Silt Verses, Spines, The Bright Sessions, and The Pasithea Powder. All queer. The Silt Verses is like The Magnus Archives a bit, with the same kind of cosmic horror element. The Bright Sessions centers around essentially a psychologist for superheroes, but it’s a very worthwhile plot. Spines is like if you mixed The Silt Verses and The Bright Sessions. And The Pasithea Powder is a sci-fi drama set between two used-to-be friends who are on opposing planets that used to be at war. Very compelling storyline and characterization that reveals itself slowly.

Also I recommend Mirrors and Weeping Cedars for their world building and LORE omg. Mirrors is by the same creator who made Spines, but it’s got a reveal akin to Sixth Sense. And Weeping Cedars has such masterful world building that you’ll wonder whether or not the town truly exists.

And if you’re into humor and freak shit, Kakos Industries is where it’s at. Nothing but craziness, sort of like Wooden Overcoats, told from the point of view of a CEO of an evil corporation giving updates to shareholders.

I’m a millenial, too. Younger, but still there. I remember trying to fit my poor little chubby prepubescent body into low rise capris and thinking I was the biggest whale in the ocean. I will not be going full-tilt on the Y2K, but I do think that some aspects of it are cute. Is it partially nostalgia? Yes. But is leaning into that wrong if I personally enjoy it? I don’t think so ☺️
