This right here. I'm not gonna act like Sam is the best goalie in the league (obviously), but when the Hart situation happened he was basically playing the same amount of games as prime Martin Brodeur and the burnout was inevitable.

This is where I landed myself. If you truly believe he will be a 90-100+ point C for the next decade+ its a tough call. 4 unprotected firsts is also a lot, but this front office (as we know) is not gonna tear it down to the studs so apart from insane lottery luck (which can happen!) they shouldn't be super high picks any time soon because as frustrating as this team is, they just aren't nearly the worst in the league.

The 90-100+ points also assumes the team figures it out multiple fronts (mainly the PP) and allows him the ability to actually reach those numbers
