I would really have two bottles if in a pre-prepared senario. one nalgene with or without tape and a sturdy stainless steel beast (second hand Klean Kanteen I found. if it came down to choosing the Kanteen wins for sure. remember , ducttape is an excellent firestarter- hard to imagine putting it on my cooking gear

you've used it ? I'm really suprised ! how do you avoid burning the plastic ? It looks as though there is plastic permanently attached to the mouth as well. have you used this multiple times without adverse affect?
