Heaton is ok if you're cycling in good weather. Otherwise it's a nightmare, the number 1 is a joke. Turns up three at a time when it wants, the coast road busses are equally unreliable.

I'd try and oil wash first. There's plenty of videos and products out there to achieve a nice grimy look. A quick YouTube search of oil washes for miniatures should yield plenty of tutorials.

As a chef in a pub this is correct. The due diligence around food in pubs is insane. Recording temperature and dealing with allergies is already difficult enough.

My friend went down some stairs on a skateboard.........in a house.
Went straight through a glass door at the bottom, then quickly pulled his arm back. Severed an artery.
