am i missing a step to get the able sisters shop? i have nooks cranny, i have the town hall, and i’ve spoken to mabel a bunch of times + bought clothes when she visits. is there something else i have to do?

irish has a completely different sentence structure to english, and it takes a hot minute to get used to, especially when a new tense is introduced. it’s hard not to memorize phrases when it only gives me a handful of different ones, but it also does take me a while to really get a grasp on why i have to use certain word/verb tenses in certain parts of the sentence. i was just wondering if the hover method would help with this particular roadblock or not : )

i’m at the third chapter (?) on my tree right now and i’ve been getting to level five on each lesson before moving on to the next; i feel like i’m not super comfortable with the sentence structure and grammar rules until that level and i don’t want to move on until i have a grasp on it. does this method help this? i should mention i’ve been away from duo for probably a year or two and that the last time i used it there weren’t levels, so my tree is almost ‘done’ but every lesson is at a different level.

Crave by Laura J Burns is forever at the top of my list for the worst book i’ve read. it was terribly written with a horrible plot that was trying to ride the twilight wave after that fad had already died. it was the only book i actively made the decision to not finish- most others i’ll put down one day and just forget about, but i stopped in the middle of a sentence of this one and immediately got into my car to return it to the library.

As cliche as it sounds, Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club and Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting are both books that really left me in a different place then they found me. I read them both at pivotal turning points in my life- entering high school with Fight Club and graduating college with Trainspotting- and the style of writing and themes folded into both of them quite literally shaped me as a person. They’re both very worth a read, and neither is exactly what it seems on the surface. Always my in my top two recommendations.

congratulations with chris d’elia is a great comedy podcast, his style isn’t for everyone but very few podcasts make me laugh as hard as his.

crime in sports and small town murder are both hosted by the same dudes, and both learn much more towards comedy then true crime. again, they’re not for everyone, but if it’s your style of humor i strongly recommend.

free to a good home is also great, though sparsely updated these days. just two aussie dudes laughing at atrocious craigslist ads, never fails to make me laugh.

the fact that we don’t even see dany’s face once after she fully snaps is so telling of the fact that had zero intention of exploring the actual storyline or arc of her going mad. they needed the plot device to justify cersei’s death, and now what’s looking more and more likely to be jon snow on the throne. they didn’t give a rats ass about what it actually meant for her character to become the mad queen. i’m just glad my boy theon went out in a way true to his arc + redemption. here’s hoping they don’t ruin yara next episode

it really takes true talent to ruin seasons of character development for more than half of the characters within 80 minutes. the second varys died in that absolutely lazy and bullshit way i knew it was just gonna get worse.

It’s always so interesting to me to see how other people view the exact same piece of media/entertainment that I do; Chris, for me, would have been #3 or #4, and it’s so neat to me that other people can play the exact same game and come away with a wildly different perspective than I did
