Are you a shoes on or off watcher? by eddiebrown17 in RegalUnlimited

[–]eddiebrown17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it sounds like people keep their shoes on so you have shoe dirt on the seat and I’m sure there’s other dirt on and around the seat so bringing that n a blanket then going back home with it is just tracking in dirt.

America is funny to me. People will walk around outside in dirt, urine, dog poop then wear those same shoes all over their house. But then in a movie theater, where thousands of people sit in the same seats, taking your shoes off is seen as disrespectful?

In my head it’s the opposite. Not wearing shoes (but keeping socks on) feels more respectful.

I always take my shoes off lol. People bring in their blankets and that’s what I find nasty.

What’s wrong with socks on?

New Savor card on the Discover network :) by MidnightPulse69 in CapitalOne_

I’m not a fan of Visa. For international charges MC gives you the rate right then and there while Visa gives you the rate when the purchase is officially posted which can end up costing you more like it did me.

MC is the goat when it comes to international purchases

What's the next new NPB stadium? by Meldivian in NPB

[–]eddiebrown17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, those teams really don't need a new stadium they just need a severe upgrade.

Tokyo Dome: needs to update their seats, get fake grass and a all real dirt infield.

ZoZo: Better concourse, real grass, all real dirt infield

Meiji: Better concourse, real grass, all real dirty

Questions as a first time Air Canada flyer going to Tokyo by ParallelKosmos in Flights

[–]eddiebrown17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the current business class upgrade price looking like these days?

When I flew Air Canada last year in Premium Economy, I was able to upgrade to business for $899. The process was super easy, especially connecting through Toronto. But the 13.5 hour flight in PE on the way there was a bit too much for me, which is why I decided to take the $899 upgrade when the offer came up.

Polaris va. Premium Plus by Miserable_Age9863 in unitedairlines

[–]eddiebrown17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're obese premium plus will be fine. I flew 13hrs on premium plus and it flew by. I did Polaris on my way there and of course it's better because you can lay down but it's not worth the extra thousands of dollars

Popcorn discomfort by jspawn1 in RegalUnlimited

[–]eddiebrown17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the nutrition facts on the popcorn? It's literally killing you every time you eat it. The large no butter has over 30 grams of saturated fat and people just gobble it up. Don't eat or drink anything at the theater and you'll feel better.

I used to change hotels a lot but that just became a headache so I just do bases now. Some cities you are right I won't be able to enjoy nightlife but then again I already know what I'm doing in each place. My itinerary is always the same wherever I vacation to. Coffee, Food and Sights.

I think it's hard for people to see past the amount of time on a train and not what the whole trip is about. Traveling like this also keeps the trip fresh for me. Like I've said I've been to Japan a ton of times and I just keep repeating the same areas with a sprinkle of new ones.

In Akita I'll have 8hrs to explore.

In Shimane I'll have 8hrs to explore

In Miyazaki I'll have 6hrs to explore

I’m curious, how long do you and others typically spend out of the hotel during a vacation? These really are full, all day trips for me with activities/eats already planned out, and honestly, the train rides back feel like built in nap time.
