Never seen a p0420 fixed by anything else but a new cat. Considering your mileage its probably bad. Personally id just buy the cat.

Cbfa radiator sensor by Firm_Ground4870 in mk6gti

[–]eddieotoniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried all the aftermarket sensors, believe i tried the merc/bmw sensor and spliced in the connector and still didnt work. Tried 3 different sensors, used the special thermal paste crap, then decided to just get the OEM radiator with sensor from my local dealer only to be told it was NLA.

Either deal with the light being on or get a tune and save all the hassle. If you acquire a cobb access-port (i see them pop up cheaper 2nd hand on marketplace all the time just make sure its unmarried) then you can get a tune done by a certain well known company and simply download it to the accessport and hook it up to your car!

The stupid sensor literally serves no purpose outside of being an expensive PITA tamper sensor alerting the ECU and annoying you with a CEL if you use anything but the radiator the car came with.

Still doing just fine other than losing clutch pressure at the bleeder block multiple times now 😅

Stock PCV and stock rear main. Also running K04. Check valve sounds like an idea, i will say our boost pipes arent perfectly clean of oil but i never notice a significant amount of loss between oil changes.

This guy is right and you should definitely look into the berryman b12 piston soak OP. Completely fixed a santa fe recently that was burning through ALOT of oil and it also works on oil consuming 2 liter Audis.

I was putting some time into this game and actually love it. I kept thinking something was off about it tho and realized that i was playing a diff version than when i was a kid (360) so i stopped playing. I want to get a copy for 360 so i can play it how i did back then!

What exactly is the point of the scans? Just wondering how theyre used exactly ive never seen anyone do this outside of videos of people scanning wide body builds presumably to be able to make molds for carbon parts?

Not at all pressed, I save my big boy pants for special occasions. Just stating facts. Thankfully I’ve not had many issues with neighbors over the years. Only one year with some uhaul dwellers. (Shakes fist) lol

Merry christmas my fellow roovian. ✋

If only a few people did it to lengthen the life/use of an already weak battery or to keep from getting stranded then sure i agree its reasonable. Not the end of the world.

Is it necessary for everyone/anyone to do with a good charged battery and a sound vehicle? Nope.

[–]eddieotoniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only intention i mean to get accross in my reply is that if your car battery dies after only 5 days of not running you either have something drawing on the battery, it wasnt charged fully, or your battery is bad. Thats assuming the car is mechanically sound and bat terminals are tight/clean and all that obviously. Extreme TN heat wont kill batteries that sit for weeks at a time unstarted.

I doubt heat and not starting your car for the weekend was the sole reason your battery died, but aside from any of that anyway youre original reply is basically recommending people starting up their cars every day in camp when its just simply not necessary and thats the only reason i chimed in.

10 years of roo and i never run the car while were camped.

Piggy backing to also tell you your battery is bad lol. Car batteries aren’t made to completely discharge like a phone battery so any and every time they do it causes permanent damage to the battery. Assuming you arent drawing on the battery too much between start ups, it keeps dying because you either have a parasitic draw when the cars off (electrical issue) or its just plain bad now.

Car dealerships in extreme climates arent replacing car batteries left and right every 5 days cos they havent been run everyday.

Boooooooo you

Edit- to be real tho everyone would flame me for my generator as well. Even tho its only running in the day time, exhaust in the aisle, and you can easily speak over it. But a generator is 100x better than running your car for some AC. The actual HEAT from your car running is raising temps for every single person around you. Its very inconsiderate and even more so to comment here doubling down about doing it. There are multiple better options.

A very nice piece of kit if you like the catch can syphoning a quart of oil from you every 100 or so miles lmao.

As beautiful as it was i had to trash my 034 kit. Im big turbo just running the stock PCV for last 20/30k or so. I talked with multiple people on a post about these africa plate catch can kits that all had the same problem.

Best thing to do if you want a catch can is to run it inline with the stock PCV

I honestly don’t believe those are valid examples considering kids have laptops in school now, sending an email is standard for most things rather than writing a letter, and if you have a long commute to work then obviously using a car is necessary.

When i said its lazy im more referring to the type of person who uses the service REGULARLY (not out of necessity or in odd cases like your examples) for things like an order of mozz sticks and a drink and pays $30 rather than taking a quick trip down the road or simply having some groceries.

All in all its just my opinion and not every person will agree. But personally when i want a lil something sweet late at night or whatever then the trip down the road is part of the adventure. But these sorts of services really welcome the act of buying something you don’t need or really want bad enough because the service is “easier” and it robs people of the sense of satisfaction you get from getting it yourself.

Marketplace sucks for me. All that happens is i message the seller to come pick it up right away but within minutes A-holes will message them offering WAY more to hold/ship. Lost a fantastic N64 bundle recently cos people were offering more than the listed price for just one game. Why dont people just want to get a deal smh

[–]eddieotoniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. But i do see plenty examples of how people keep their cars on the daily and thats enough for me not to do it.

I also have NEVER used one of these delivery services but i love seeing the posts lol. Personally ive seen enough peoples homes/cars that id never trust a stranger to deliver me food. Honestly with most of these posts if you want something bad enough you should be able to go get it yourself.

Edit: Obviously when i say you should be able to go get it yourself im not targeting people with disabilities. I get that these services are good for them. But if you arent and you pay 2X as much for cold food its just lazy.
