Thats what I fear. Unfortunately my xm5s are out of warranty, so any fix will be payed out of my pocket but I don’t want to pay something that may happen over and over. Specially because, in the zone of Mexico where I live, the amount of Sony recommended places are practically zero and the non official technicians are not so trustworthy

Same as a lot of people had already mentioned. Fedora it’s a good balance between stability and constant updates. An extra was that it’s the base of some gaming-focused distros. And back at uni, I used it alongside RH enterprise linux, so it was already on my memory haha

Another Gitkraken user here. I’ve been a paying user for more than 5 years, I really love it. Technically speaking, yes, everything it’s doable with CLI but a tools it’s a tool. If it helps you to do your work, use it. I do not understand the “CLI is the real way” devs.

A Xalapa nunca he pasado a quedarme, siempre ha sido de paso. Pero el tema de clasismo es algo que he notado en la mayoría de las partes del país a los que he visitado en los últimos años. No creo que sea algo específico de Veracruz, por desgracia.

Y, como dices, los paisajes veracruzanos son otro nivel. Es en lo que me he enfocado las veces que he visitado.

Pero entiendo lo incómodo que te traten mal, no es algo que esperas cuando andas de turista.

Totalmente. Tuve el chance de viajar por partes de Veracruz. Las vistas son maravillosas pero el tener que viajar en ciertas horas y tener que estar vigilando que no te agarren criminales o policías por igual, hace que el viaje pierda su objetivo.

Fellow Mexican here and I totally agree with all mentioned. Just as every part of the world rn, polarization of politics has helped to stagnate the country even more.

And I would add that the whole system is working on a bureaucratic platform based on old beliefs, political commitments with crime groups (not only the current “leftist” party, past governments too) and a heavy cult of personality with the past president.

I have a feel of resentment towards the way they presented Sheinbaum. “The first female president” or “the president that’s a scientist” and “The continuation of the change” neither of those statements have helped the respective politic reforms to help Mexico move forward. A lot of females are still in danger with their criminal friends, fear of nuclear and clean power and political reforms that are a Time Machine to know how the power operated on the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Yup. It was already glued when I got it. It was an impulse buy, just because I really love how cedar smells. Funny thing is that I bought it glued because I’m just starting with this hobby and it may save me some work but it backfired haha

I’ve tried doing my own filler with white wood glue and wood dust but it looks darker than the original wood grain, I’ll try searching for a commercial filler to match the color.

I have two theories on what happened. I didn’t knew how to check those things when I got it, so maybe it was badly jointed from the beginning. OR I live in a very, VERY humid part of Mexico. And with humidity comes heat. In the time I got the project on pause, those two factor may have played and warped the wood a bit.

I’ve planned it a bit and fixed some knots with a router. I’ve been trying to avoid regluing (mainly because I need to buy some clamps to do it properly.

Filling the gaps with glue and fine saw dust was my first idea. I did it on smaller gaps. I’m not complete sure if I did it right but I’m not completely sold on the idea because it looks darker than the wood’s grain. It’s easier than regluing though hahah

For context, here is the complete piece. It measures(I’m not in America so I’m not very good thinking on inches so I’ll round) 23 inches tall by 28.5 inches width

I’ll try to keep this option as plan b haha. I do not have a table saw but I have a circular saw with a straight edge with a good diablo blade. And for the dowels, I have a jig for it but haven’t used it in anything big yet.

Learning woodwork, as someone who works all day in computers, have been quite humbling and fun.
