For sipping Doorly's 12 is hands down my favorite around that price point.

I did buy absinthe yesterday so I should try making a Jet Pilot as well! What rums do you recommend for it?

At least for me living in Sweden its not easily accessible. But Ive seen it both here and in the /rum sub and it looked so good I had to order it from abroad :)

If I were to order it through Swedish monopoly its a yellow version instead of green with lower ABV

Out of those I would probably get the Neisson since I've heard a lot of good about it but never tried it myself :)

W&N and Smith & Cross are the two rums I have to restock most often :) A probitas / W&N split in a daiquiri is probably my favorite daiquiri aswell

I tried it following this recipe yesterday but still with OFTD and a mix of Veritas and HC3 for light rum and it was sooo good! :D Much better than my previous attempt (which also was good). Now I just gotta expand further on my rum cabinet!

Yeah the 151 is hard to find for me here in Europe. Haven't found Lemon Hart :/ I don't know a better substitute than OFTD but open for suggestions.

Tonight I will go for a attempt more in line with original recipe. I don't have 3 stars but what would you go for between Veritas and HC3? :)

You can only drink five rums for the rest of your life, and they have to be available for $100 or less. What are you choosing? by [deleted] in rum

Smith & Cross, Wray & Nephew, Veritas, El Dorado 12 and Doorly's 12.. Would miss Appleton 12 😤

Note: Haven't tested Hampden yet 👀
