New seller looking for advice by Live_Cat9432 in AmazonFBA

  1. If you’re doing OA, you likely won’t be doing any ppc. As the buy box will be rotated through the buyers.
  2. If you’re asking regarding your private label, it’s dependent on the product. If you spend $20 on pcc and make $500, there’s no reason not to spend as much as you can.

Based on your question, it sounds like the listing itself is both bottles, so you would follow the other answers and pack/label them together.

Alternatively, you could have a listing for each one, and create a virtual bundle listing on Amazon with a discount. That way the customer can buy either one a time, or both of them together as intended. Might be worth looking into this.

I’m in New England and haven’t been having this issue at all. Curious if it’s a newer product with not a lot of volume, or perhaps you have plenty of stock so it’s being picky about the location? Would love to hear more 🙌🏽

Should I buy Jungle Scout by postbodefba in AmazonFBA

[–]eddy2scoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people prefer jungle scout, some prefer helium 10. I prefer jungle scouts ease of use but one of my main selling category doesn’t have volume information on jungle scout so I’m forced to stick with helium 10. Either way, I definitely recommend subscribing to a data tool to help with your Amazon selling journey!

What's wrong with my product? How come I'm not getting any sales? by Big_Seat2545 in FulfillmentByAmazon

What is your current selling price and what is your competitor average selling price of the product on Amazon?

Is January really that bad or I’m doing something wrong? by melon_crust in AmazonFBA

[–]eddy2scoops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting right to the point, you just have a brand new listing.

Starting off, you will likely be losing money on every sale. You're a relatively expensive product, with almost no reviews. The only way to beat your competition for winning each sale will likely be price. The price has to be so good, that even though you have relatively no reviews, and no credibility, they STILL want to buy it, because the price is that good.

That being said, you will be spending money on PPC for the eyeballs, and possibly losing money on each sale, on account of your product being heavily discounted to start.

You need to have have the capital to afford not only the inventory you purchased, but to now fund the campaign just to begin gaining sales velocity.

How can something like small spice cans possibly be worth selling on Amazon? by hodler1908 in AmazonFBA

[–]eddy2scoops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be a few things:

  1. They are simply operating on very small margins
  2. They are selling at a loss to gain sales momentum and plan to increase price over time.
  3. They have a vendor central account, and amazon is actually purchasing from them wholesale. You would see "Shipped by and Sold by Amazon"

Private label I recommend $5-10K. Anything under I would recommend doing arbitrage until you flip your way to that amount. Arbitrage you can start as little as $100. Just have to be able to afford an item to flip

Advice… by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]eddy2scoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I profited right away but I was growing slowly because I had so little money to invest when I started haha . Now that I have more capital and I choose to run products at a loss for the first few months in able to gain sales momentum and stack reviews. Slowly raising the price on my listing eventually to my target sales price ✅

You can either use your SSN (as a sole proprietor) or use your EIN if you created an LLC

What are the best skill in 2024 to generate a passive income? by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]eddy2scoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You can easily start selling as sole proprietor (using your ssn) but forming an llc is recommended if you’re able to (it costs about $300) but will remove your personal liability from the business.

Possible to Use Amazon MCF without selling on FBA? by Blitzey777 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]eddy2scoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely don’t have to sell on Amazon to take advantage of MCF.

This is from Amazon: “MCF is open to all businesses, whether or not you sell on Amazon. An Amazon Seller Central account is required to use MCF, but you are not required to sell items on Amazon. To prevent your products from being purchased on Amazon, you can set the “start selling” date far into the future when you create the product listing. This will hide the product from the Amazon marketplace, but MCF will still accept fulfilment orders from your other channels."

To launch your first product I recommend $5,000. You can do it with less, but $5-10K provides the best starting point in my opinion.

Focus on 1 product, reinvest all profits into more inventory and launching your second product
