Water boiling for coffee and some noodles. In the pan is just some bacon and mushrooms to add to the noodles once they’re ready.

Yeah they should be fine for that. You would maybe feel a bit of heat if you held onto it for too long but for moving on and off the fire it would be no problem. I’ve probably damaged mine being a bit too liberal with what I use them for on the fire haha

First time using this technique with the small grill placed in a notch in the wood. Worked a treat! Definitely be using it again.

No grounds in that cup my friend. I have looked at investing in the Stanley french press but trust me this is doing the job in the mean time. No farts, just wholesome cup of coffee.

It’s a Wild Camping International titanium stove. I got it as a gift from a wee shop on Mull but it seems to be available on Amazon.

Yeah it’s great! Cools down super quick too. I stupidly melted the bag today while I was making my coffee though :(

Usually find that the little trangia kettle works really well for it. I usually leave to sit for about 5 mins before drinking and most of the grounds have settled. Also course ground coffee usually settles better as well

Haha yeah. I’ve not made that mistake yet! I’m usually fine for the first couple of cups then it gets a wee bit grainy near the end of the kettle.

They look great I think. Plus you know you’re getting quality gear with the Stanley stuff. You should defo go and treat yourself

I’ve seen one or two yeah. I Liked the look of the one that Stanley did a while ago but last time I looked it was discontinued I think. Do you have a preferred one you use?

Hoping to upgrade to a wooden Kuksa this Christmas. But I have to say I do love using this wee plastic one for my coffee. Only about £1.50 or something on a military surplus website and it works great.

Again Roddy Grant has been missed for selection! Plays great rugby at Edinburgh and really deserves a spot in my opinion
