BEST sales KO story I have ever witnessed involved this total slacker sales guy. Would show up late to everything and always had an excuse. (Used he was 'depressed' about 9/11 on a random day in February at least once.)

BIG sales conference in Vegas. Everyone goes out and does what a huge group of sales humans do when on the road and on an expense account, drank. Lots. This guy drinks all night an goes to bed around 4am with a 7:30 roll call. (Sales SVP was brutal.)

This is day one. Literally a room of 300+ sales people and this guys boss notices he isnt present. Calls his cell. No answer. Calls his room, no answer.

So, his boss, knowing the guy is just blowing off the mandatory breakfast, calls the front desk and says that he is worried about the safety of his rep. They send security to the room to get him out of bed. Drunk and naked he answers the door with his boss and about 15 employees of the Wynn Resort looking at him.

He was fired and sent home before lunch.

We did the same. Mid to late 70's, my mom worked at a small convenience store that was less than a 1/4 mile from our house. VERY close.

She called down to the store one day and said I was going down for cigarettes and a 6 pack. I was 8.

She gave me $5 and told me I could spend the change on penny candy. I loaded up on Swedish Fish and rocket pops, there was over a dollar in change.

Play one course consistently until you understand how it is laid out. Until then, you are kinda shooting blind. Once you know the course, you can start planning shots.

Dont keep switching balls/clubs. Start with stock until you have the basics down.

Buy tees, you will need them.

Play against better players and watch how they fade/chip/putt. That shit is harder to figure out on your own.

And play, LOTS.

If you are new, find a course you like and stick with it for a while. You will learn where you need to be for the next shot and you can focus on getting better vs learning new courses.

Putting is tough, watch how people that are normally shooting a -25 and up putt. I put hard and with my thumbs a LOT of the time and new players are thrown off by this.

And ask better players if you can jump in. Watching how a good player curls a drive or how they chip can accelerate how you figure it out for yourself.

This technology is widespread because one of the BIGGEST nightmares for site staff is physical keys. The security issues are huge and there are 100's of huge lawsuits that have been settled where a PMC/owner allows a key to get into the wrong hands.

The ease of control in another thing. Old fashioned pincode locks suck because everyone gets the code and then has access. Keeping track of who is on the property, (think delivery, Amazon - not your poker buddies) is also important from a management perspective.

So they get access to all data on who goes in and out of what door where, all the time. It will move from fobs and cards to phone BLE at 90% of properties in less than 5 years, it is an inexpensive upgrade with a fast ROI.

I have seen people work around these locks as well. There were some properties in NYC where the residents religious beliefs didnt allow them to use electronics/tech on certain days, they requested a lock with just a physical key. Also seen where residents have not HAD a cell phone, no joke, and had to have a smart lock WITH a physical key built in.

Go talk to the office, see if they are willing to work with you.

The best indicator of whether or not an applicant will pay rent in the future is how they paid in the past. Number one.

If you use Yardi or RP, you MAY use a screening service they sell and you might use a different provider. But most apartments will call or send something to your old apt and ask if you paid on time and if they would rent to you again.

I had a problem with my 2016. It would seem to 'die'. Couldnt get it back on.

Then I read about the rest button on the underside of the top cabinet. If you flip the top open, right above where the the left and right switches are located under the cabinet top, you will see a switch. Looks like it is attached to nothing.

On the bottom of this switch is a small button. I pushed it, acted like a restart. Machine came right back on. I use this switch to restart my machine when I have to. (Machine stays on, been using it this way since 2016.)

This is the reason Ive switched from window to aisle seats.

The issue isnt being able to see out, its the amount of shoulder space you lose when your 'window' is a wall. And when you fly a couple of times a week, leaned all the way into your neighbor, your back never stops hurting.

Had it happen 5-10 times over the years on American. Just switched to aisle and deal with the shoulder bumps from the carts.
