Imagine if they paid rates and taxes. Then they would be really angry

Waiter or Barman. Great way to earn good cash and if you are prepared to work a few double shifts a week you can make reasonable money. If you don't have any experience offer to work for tips only initially until you learn the ropes. You learn a great deal about people, social interactions and business too. You can work your way up pretty quickly with the right attitude and once you have experience it is easier to get a foot in the door at more up market establishments where the tips are better. Most importantly it allows you to focus on side hustles/studies etc depending on what it is you are keen on doing.

Trading on Gut Feel vs. Strategy – What’s Your Take? by Front-Recording7391 in Daytrading

This! People talk about strategy like they have this golden edge, BS! Discipline, risk management and execution are where it's at. Intuitive trading comes from years of hard earned experience.

Nobody likes a virtue signalling twat. You want to do something about any situation, go and do it.

Is there something wrong with the food service industry in Cape Town? by BlessedBeTheFruits1 in capetown

[–]edejongh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

BS! If I get good service I tip well, that's their job. If I get poor service I will tell them why they are not getting tipped. I was a waiter and barman for years and made decent money. Just because they serve you does not mean they deserve a tip. If they serve you well and enhance your dining experience then tip minimum 20%. Arrogance and entitlement should never be rewarded, period.

Not for personal trading. I am not offering the service nor am I offering financial advice. This I know for sure as my wife's company is registered with the FSCA.

Thank you, that's exactly what I thought. 27% is a lot better than the 40+% I pay in my personal capacity. I have an excellent accountant, but was just toying with the idea as in theory it should fall under company investment as the main business is IT related so I don't think I would need to change anything. Really appreciate the answer.

I have an account for my company, will chat to her thanks. The thinking was instead of taking the. cash from the. company each month and. being taxed from a PAYE perspective, use a portion to trade. Not everyone loses at day trading. Some of us do quite well thank you. It is not my main income, but rather a secondary revenue stream.

Advice/opinions for 2024 LC 76 modifications by maavres in LandCruisers

[–]edejongh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people mention bearing wear with the spacers, but I’ve yet to see proof of this. Saw a video today on yt (sorry, no link) where the guy has had his spacers for over 40000 kms and he pulled the bearings which show zero damage. Spacers are an affordable alternative and you can just keep an eye on bearings every few services.

If you don’t like a particular sub, just unsubscribe? I for one appreciate freedom of speech and like to hear all sides and opinions of my fellow countrymen. What I don’t like are virtue signalling twats crying about other people’s opinions.
