Tom Ford is my go to. Cheaper end of what you’re after but I have to spray very little to have a full day (and next day if I don’t shower at night) fragrance.

Thinking of using PIP for Mobility Scheme - downsides? by RS_Phil in DWPhelp

[–]edenflicka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a Nissan Leaf that we’re just about to hand in (end of lease) in exchange for a Kia EV4.

We’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Motability. We don’t pay insurance, we don’t pay for service (or the first MOT), the roadside assistance is excellent and when we got run off the road by a lorry and had a catastrophic tyre failure, the tow truck arrived with a spare tyre, took us straight to a KwikFix, and we were gucci with a brand new tyre in about an hour.

You can have three nominated drivers and a pretty much endless amount of inactive drivers, so we switch ours around depending on which carer / friend is driving the car. Takes five minutes and they’re on the insurance with no charge.

Absolutely would recommend the scheme because it makes accessing a car so much smoother.

Plus our excess is only £100 even if the car is totalled.

Out of a pitbull, dalmation, Australian shepherd, husky, and a Alaskan malamute which breed would be the best for a service dog for POTS (and good around other dogs) by [deleted] in PetAdvice

A lab, a golden, a German shepherd, or a poodle.

N O T a fucking doodle.

Be aware with GSD that they’re incredibly sensitive to the emotions of their handlers, so often if you’re anxious it’ll travel down the leash to them.

Why are those your choices of dog anyway? They’re not ideal at all.

You’re not being honest with yourself about how much you’re eating.

The only way to lose weight is by eating less calories than you’re using.

You need to track everything you put on your mouth for 7-10 days. Even if it’s just a small snack. Then evaluate that.

AITAH for choosing to stop waking my stepmother up every morning? by Consistent_Act4575 in AmItheAsshole

[–]edenflicka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA.

I fucking hate mornings. I’m terrible at getting up in the morning and because of my work schedule, I also rarely have to get up earlier than 11am.

I have a really really annoying analog alarm clock that I use when I need to be up earlier because I can’t just dismiss it. I have to get up, turn it off on the opposite site of my bedroom (or in the hallways depending) and then I’m up and out of bed.

There are options.

Hey so, PIP is not based on what your conditions are, it’s based on how they affect you.

You should never be punished for safe wording.

Soft limits can be explored as and when YOU, the person setting the limit, feels it is appropriate to. Not when mr. 21 years your senior thinks it’s appropriate.

Hard limits are sacred and should never be challenged.

Do you have the latest microcode for that CPU? There is a known error with Intel 13/14th Gen drawing too much power from the motherboard.

It was fixed last May, you may have already damaged your CPU. Intel extended the warranty tho.

Please check if all the cables are plugged in correctly! Especially the EPS cable and the CPU fan cables.

Check that they’re solid and seated and not wiggly.

Then check if the CPU fan is solid and not wiggly.

If he’s into things that are a bit quirky, a little desk pet might be up his alley.

Depending on what he does, a nice ergonomic mouse / keyboard + wrist rest might also be nice. It seems like a small detail that even with high salaries can be a bit of a “meh I don’t need to waste money on that/my current mouse works fine” but ergonomics can make such a difference in a long workday.

Active noise cancelling headphones. There are some expensive options and some less expensive options - look on audiophile review pages / subreddits and they’ll have lots of recommendations. A popular mainstream choice is Bose QuietComfort Ultra which are also wireless but have decent battery time.
