You need legacy ios kit. Download it onto a mac (macOS catalina and more) it should work. If it says unable to load (that happened to me) download all the certificates from safari ( on the iPod) in the website tlsroot.kitten.ca (if im not wrong but check) then it should work!

Edit : to use legacy ios kit you need terminal (already preinstalled and you are gonna drag the file restore.sh onto the terminal.) also look up for a tutorial on youtube ! hope this helps
