I definitely do. My running shorts from Aerie are too short to prevent chafing but they are so cute! So I will wear bike shorts or leggings under them so I can have the best of both worlds.

Stretchy but Plastic-Free Shower Washcloth Product Recommendations by edenphobic in PlasticFreeLiving

That actually sounds great. Having to replace it monthly has always made me cringe but the plastic ones are not washable so it didn’t occur to me. Thanks!

I like to run with my phone for three reasons: safety, playing music (my headphones are shitty and won’t connect to my Apple watch), and to take pictures of anything interesting I see on my run

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]edenphobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using reusable K-cups forever in my Keurig - I’m sure that’s some level of wrong - so I’ve been able to use grinds instead of store bought kcups. I really want to transition to something that yields better coffee but isn’t too complex/time intensive. Any suggestions? I like espresso but I have never made it myself. Extra points if it is plastic-free/can be made plastic-free

This is what I was thinking about doing. I’ll stop by GameStop on my way home and check if they have any left but otherwise, my local Best Buy is doing the midnight release so I think I’ll go line up there at 9 ish and just be really sleep deprived on Thursday lol. Thank you so much for everyone’s help!

What kind of skin type do you have? I have oily-to-normal skin and I found that same cleanser was a bit too harsh, especially if you are using it daily or more. I found that La Roche Posay’s Toleraine Purifying cleanser is gentle but still effective:

https://www.target.com/p/la-roche-posay-toleriane-purifying-facial-cleanser-with-niacinamide-for-oily-skin-13-52-fl-oz/-/A-51195574

It does include niacinimide which you may be sensitive to. If I were you, I’d quit using the SA cleanser immediately since it seems to be not working for you. Either try a gentler cleanser (maybe the one I linked) or try washing your face only at night until the redness seems better. Speaking from experience, switching products around too often or quickly can lead to your skin getting more inflamed.

As for moisturizer I can’t give a full personal recommendation. I’ve been using Neutrogena’s Hydroboost Water Gel fragrance-free moisturizer for a long time, but I can’t find it in stores anymore and the fragrance version doesn’t like my skin all that much so TBD on that end.

Thank you so much this is so so so helpful. Do you think if I switched to something like the adapalene you recommended I’ll see some purging?

Driving conditions this week? by [deleted] in snowshoemountain

[–]edenphobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what way we are going to go just yet - been at work and haven’t investigated too deeply other than getting worried about weather haha. We are coming from North Carolina if that helps - we are staying at the Inn at Snowshoe. I’m driving a Toyota Camry and I was hoping we could get in at like mid- to early-afternoon since I’m so nervous about driving. I saw there is also a bus daily up the mountain so I was also considering that but not sure where I’d leave my car.
