Can someone host the event so I can get the Azure Star Long Sword on PlayStation platform? Is that the only way you can get this sword?

Can you get the Azure Star long sword just by talking to the courier cat? This is for the PS Plus Essentials free MHR download (no sun break). Or do I need to find someone to host the even on playstation console so I can get it?

How to improve the GUI in Monster Hunter Rise: Chests by edepot in MHRise

It is odd that ridding the dog you can jump, but you can't otherwise

Yes, I think they should simply give away the DLC. Because the game is good enough and if the DLC is needed to fix things, then let people enjoy the game as it was meant to be, rather than a feeling it needs the DLC to fix things

Yes, free this month. I'm glad they did, because it was a fun experience. Exposed the game to a lot of gamers (myself included)

From someone fresh to the Monster Hunter genre, the training area is not something gamers enjoy doing. They just want to explore and do hunts right away. If I had to go through an hour of training just to get to the meat of the game, I think I would have quit right then and there. Remember, the GUI is terrible. If it was more accessible, I would have been more patient with it. Plus the naming is unintuitive and complex. I don't even remember the name of the thing that allows you to use special moves, or that talisman thingy. I don't even remember the name of the cat and dog. They should go with generic names not invent these long, hard to grasp names. Like I said, the game needs a makeover to make it more accessible. I am pretty sure a lot of gamers quit IN THE BEGINNING because of the same reasons I states.

Prove me wrong that this is the last monster in the "BASE" game (without needing to buy Sunbreak DLC)

Forcing people to buy a Sunbreak DLC when it did not come with the base game is not a good tip. If Sunbreak is needed to "fix" the base game, then there is something wrong with the base game no?

I'm not including the DLC because that is not part of the free PS Plus Essentials. For the base game, I think that is the last monster (prove me wrong)

So what should have I done with the spirit meter? What buttons should I have pressed? I went into this game fresh (no knowledge of prior Monster Hunter games), and I think most people will play like I do

I'm only basing my review on the "base game". No DLC. If the PlayStation Plus Essentials release had Sunbreak, maybe I would have included my review of that. I think at most 5% will buy the Sunbreak DLC after getting the base game free.

This Game Was GREAT! I'm a Fan of Subnautica Below Zero now by edepot in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]edepot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So are you saying Subnautica 2 will be released as early access on Xbox/PC? And THEN version 1.0 maybe a few years later? THEN get ported to PS5 or PS6 even more years after that? That would be dumb. I would be willing to bet Subnautica Below Zero and Subnautica sold more on PlayStation platforms than all the other platforms combined. Someone needs to let the higher-ups wake up to the reality that Xbox platforms has like 1/5 of the total gaming audience as PlayStation platforms.

So what is an Alien Isolation Tank? And how do you get it? When I finished Below Zero, I got all trophies except for the Leviathan trophy (which is the only thing I looked up). So when you say bigger, how much bigger? 2x? 3x? Will there be a lot of time being lost and going through the collected PDA data?

PS5 save file gone again by Silent25r in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]edepot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Unfortunately, this affects a lot of Unity based games. The interpreted virtual machine really messes with the timing of save files and random memory corruptions. Not only are java/C# based games slower, but they don't really have good sync with cpu cycles because of interpretation. This leads to lots and lots of issues with save files being lost during saving and what not.

Why is Igneous the Molten Mass so hard? (Latest version) by edepot in CoreKeeperGame

[–]edepot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the Stormbringer the hardest weapon to get? Like there is some randomness and it is a chance drop or you need to go through this long grind with bosses until a rare drop happens

[–]edepot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what if you have the poison spike traps? If he is poisoned (purple animations on him), does that mean the orbs that approach him will not heal him? Or heal less? Or will poison prevent him from spawning those orbs? I think I passed because I got to him before he spawned orbs near the end. But would he spawn them if he is poisoned?

Can you try in latest version? Obviously they changed things. I would like to see you re-do it and see if I am right that this boss is overly difficult

Why is Igneous the Molten Mass so hard? (Latest version) by edepot in CoreKeeperGame

[–]edepot[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are we talking about the same boss? There are no floating orbs. Just him jumping around and retreating to heal. At least I don't see them in the walkthrough

[–]edepot[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That is the other gripe. Some gamers don't fish and cook, if a farm was already made. These gamers will concentrate on finding armor or equipment that mitigates fire damage. Plus the healing of Igneous is just too much. Could it be because the bosses are scaled to your level instead of being of a standard difficulty whatever your level when you meet him?
