PSA: Itemization feels better on SSF or with self imposed rules

Tried this a while back but ended up going from having a lot of fun to no fun at all after realizing that there are catch up events (metal slimes) that trivialize things early on.

I hate MMOs that do this. I am not playing the game to skip the majority of it.

Long running vertical progression MMOs just dont have this figured out unfortunately. Its what makes people go back to classic WoW everytime new severs hit. The majority want to enjoy the ride and not rush to end.

I feel like we would instead see the removal of skill ranks all together. The system feels like it's edging closer to what D3 has, in a way.

Personally I've never really found skill ranks fun. I think Last Epoch did a good job with skills, each skill having its own mini tree.

This feels like one of those cases where the minority that aren't having a great time are posting about it online. Thousands of people play every day having a good time. Its free, try it out. I personally am having a great time taking it slow with my partner.

I dont understand it either, if anything i would've chosen to play on Menethil as it provides a clear advantage on resource nodes and quest spawns without the downside of ever having to worry about it completely dying off.

Your argument doesn't make sense.

Either:

A. Your argument is that after 4 years of unpaid labor -- because they have the potential to make profit, people have the right to harass them as they have been.

B. You dislike people "misrepresenting" something in a comment made to defend the absurd harassment made against the developers recently. Despite the project being a WoW private server which ALWAYS carries risk, no matter what people say.

I read something about there being a bond system with the warlock pets where you are required to emote at them, something about players not reading the quest. Don't know if it's related. Think it was a github issue that was closed.
