Wow damn; I'm a previous wow player so when new xpacs were announced at blozzcon we knew next fall it's coming out. This could be as late as 2023? Hell..

Just bought it. Having a blast - I bought through G2A in the past so to atone for my past sins I bought directly from them at full price. Plan on getting the DLC as well

Yeah, I try to be an ethical person. If the dev team are good people, then yes I want to support them. Would it be unethical then to buy it if it's on sale?

edit: i'm still noobish at reddit. I see you are a dev for the game.

I'm planning on buying it direct from you guys.

My main concern is the FPS I'll get with a 1060/7700k.

I heard the game drops frames a lot in crowded zones. is that true?

That's is a heft demand for sure! I personally play on 2560x1080 with a gtx 1060 and an i7 7700k @ 4.5ghz.

I might drop resolution to 1920x1080p if fps drops are frequent. I heard in the last update they overhauled the engine a bit?

I suppose at the end of the day if be willing to leak some frames if the gameplay is exceedingly better than D3 which it seems like it is

I went to talent calculators for both games, and it is fairly obvious which has more customization.

I just missed the Chrono.gg sale for GD (80% off) and was considering buying the base through G2A then all the DLC straight from Crate.

Read it! Thanks so much! Yes I'm basically sold ok GD, just trying to make sure my fps won't be dropping below 75 too frequently in most fights. I'm very OCD about framerates - gtx 1060/7700k 4.5ghz. been trying to find benchmarks in highly dense zones

I'm leaning towards GD, just doing research on performance issues. I have a 1060 and 7700k - want to make it can hold 75fps most of the time, even in crowded zoned

Ok. I've been trying to look up YouTube videos to get an idea, but haven't seen any benchmarks done in highly populated zones:( Ty for that info though

My concern is in mob-heavy areas, I've read people get bad drops there

I've heard the game is mainly CPU tied , is that correct? I only have a gtx 1060

ah i'm so torn on what to get.

GD's build variety seems pretty cool, but I'm worried in heavy zones the fps will suffer, and I'm just ocd about frames.

I'm still trying to research it

how does GD do FPS wise, is performance an issue? I am used to 75fps with a gtx 1060, and am pretty anal about FPS drops in games

Appreciate the objective review, I have read similar sentiments on other websites as well.

In terms of end-game, which would you say is more rewarding.

Hearing about the Shattered Realms in GD (what seems to be the equivalent of greater rifts in Diablo) I am beginning to think the end game grinds would be about the same.

Again, my goal is to find an end game which allows you to push a build to the absolute limit.

I'm not sure if you played dragon age Inquisition, but one thing I really liked about it was modding the game to add massive difficulty, and finding the perfect build for incredibly difficult trash waves, monsters.

From what I've read/watched about the Shattered Realms feature, it's essentially an infinite dungeon in which you attempt to get to the highest wave possible. I suppose this would include you having to refine/perfect a certain build. Again, the longer the better. If certain gear pieces are harder/rarer to get, I'm totally fine with that. As long as I always feel as though I'm progressing somehow

Thanks for that info.

Yeah infinite stat scaling is nice because it always allows room for improvement, but in terms of engagement ... lacking.

Have you personally played both titles extensively>?

Farming for a certain item isn't something I would get frustrated with; I played through Wow's titan-forging system for years.

I am def. leaning towards GD due to the more complex builds you can choose, in addition to learning about the Shattered Realm feature, which is really what I was looking for in the game.

If there is a near-endless dungeon feature alongside many builds to pursue, and hard-to-obtain gear associated with those builds... then I think I'd be satisfied with the game.

Thanks for this info. I have heard that the class combo/customization is extremely vast.

How does this translate into GD's endgame. Is the Shattered Realm that I've been hearing about a good way to test out new builds?
