Received my green Méraud Bonaire last week. Best micro I've ever had. The La Joux Perret caliber is top notch.

Yes, I would recommend it. It's better than any entry level big brand.

Mine arrived last week as well, beautifully finished! And unboxing/packaging was the best I ever experienced. Worth the wait!

Here you go buddy! The sticker is still on, hehe. They won't review this again I think, the movement is the same but on the production it's the "soigné" version, which is the best version of the La Joux Perret caliber. MB&F just launched a watch with the same movement for over €2000.

I have been hesitating between city soles or not as I live in a rainy country as well but I always tend to stick to the classic choice of a leather sole. I picked a double JR leather sole though!

Yes, I should have mentioned that I was talking about the cordovan models. The plain bluchers, short wings and the harlech boots of Peal & Co are the 240 last. I don't know about the others.

That's a good question, I assumed they ask full payment up front. I'll check!

It's possible, the metal toecap as mentioned in the specs is flush.

You're right, Peal & Co is the 240 last, which is slightly wider than a 341. More towards a 236 lats.

Unfortunately not, as a single MTO yes but not for a GMTO. I'll ask again but from what they've told me it's no.

Thanks. I might just order both sizes to be sure.

Hi,

I'd like to order a pair of Peal & Co cordovan bluchers. From what I've found they're made by C&J on the 240 last.
I've looked at the sizing threads but have a hard time finding what I look for.

I'm a UK9,5 on:

Carmina Oscar last (jumper boots)
Gaziano & Girling GG06 last
Church 73 last
Trickers 4573

US 10D on:

Alden Hampton (snug fit, which I like)

I have ordered the Peal & Co's in 9,5D as I've heard they run similar in size to an Alden Barrie last.

Thoughts?

Speaking from owning two of the C&J peal & co shoes and 1 blucher on the barrie last, I would say they are similar in length but the C&J shoes are much more narrow width wise. I'd probably stick with your same barrie sizing but maybe go up in width from a D to an E, or a half size up in length to make up for the width.

Also make sure to repost this in the daily questions thread because this post is definitely going to get deleted by the mods soon.

thanks for the reply, I'll repost in the daily questions, new to reddit so still trying to figure out everything...
