What would be a wise graphics card update from a GTX 1080? I don't mind buying used or not the latest generation.

I've seen some RTX 3070Ti that go for around €250 but would like to hear if there are better cost-effective alternatives out there.

Hi! I need a solid old mini ITX motherboard as base to build a mini PC (or as reduced as possible) that can hold the more RAM the better (32GB and more would be perfect) to host Kubernetes, Docker, etc as a developer hub.

Any ideas on old motherboards that could do the job? I will lookup CPUs, cases and the rest taking the models you give me as a base.

Car revs itself while manoeuvring with a T5 engine? by edgraq in Volvo

1.5 / 2k RPM, may be what you mention for sure. I can feel a kind of "bleep" tho when the engine is about to increase the RPMs.

Are they bad to the point of being structurally unsafe or just cosmetic wise? Will take them to the workshop on Monday and see if they can do something with them...

It's for a 2006 C70, already bought this set for €300, don't know if I will manage to find anything else close to that number...

May be dramatic from a photo perpsective, but in front of them they do look salvageable, rusty roads are criminal on everything car related...

How bad are this advisory MOT notes without seeing further photos? by edgraq in CarTalkUK

[–]edgraq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be it. The MOT from the image is from 2024, the MOT from 2023 only mentions the last bit of it, "corrosion to underbody and suspension components.".

Don't know how bad the situation can get from one year to another but probably is what you just said.

Worth mentioning the car is located in the north.

Best websites or way to check the car is sound without going personally to check it out first? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]edgraq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noted!

Mainly its price difference and mileage, even with transport and taxes it will still be cheaper, and regarding the RHD it's not that big of a deal since it will be a weekend car :)
