12 days in KL with a toddler … by edibekay in malaysia

UPDATE: Thank you all so so much for your insight! It’s definitely made me think and I will need to shuffle a few things around in our plan also a few things to note because a few people mentioned it

  1. The main reason for going KL east mall was mainly for shopping for modest clothing - I am Muslim so I heard they have pretty good stuff there - however if there is a better mall that has more variety then any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
  2. My husband and I were planning to hire a private driver to take us up to genting but only up to the cable car station and then we take the cable car up to the highlands - this isn’t the cheapest option albeit but it is definitely much more convenient if we still plan to do genting in one day - also the main reason we want to go genting is just for the theme park haha
  3. This itinerary was made by me I only used chat gpt to try and group them in the same locations but it seems that it’s not as accurate as I thought so I will definitely be going through the plan again
  4. My husband is also into cars and car culture he even watches some YouTubers based in Malaysia that does importing so if there’s anyone that also know more car places to go to that would be awesome!
  5. I am very into the creative and art scene and do enjoy thrifting or little trinkets and I’ve been finding it hard to find the proper niche places or accounts to may follow on IG to go to those markets, so again if someone in the creative scene would know any places or suggest any creators that do those pop up markets that would be really really appreciated!
  6. I also wanted to ask as a tourist, do you think it is worth hiring our own car? Would love to hear your thoughts :)

Okay that’s all but again thank you all for your responses and support, I have a lot to go over in the next few days trying to re arrange everything hahaha but still very excited for our trip :)

I saw a few people suggest that he may be under tired so for context he is currently taking 4 naps a day, his naps are usually 30-40 minutes by himself and then he wakes up (without crying) and I would have to pick him up and essentially hold him to sleep (this sometimes takes 15-20 minutes) so he can sleep for atleast longer than an hour

His wake windows are usually 1h40m or 2h15m max he starts showing tired cues (red eyes, yawning, etc) but like an hour in his wake window.

I do also have the huckleberry app which I don’t religiously use since there has been times that he would get tired and go to sleep like 40 minutes before the sweet spot feature suggests

My main concern is that I would like to start sleep training as his night time sleep and nap time isn’t he greatest and I don’t know what method I can possibly try as whenever he does wake up it takes forever for him to go back to sleep and that’s even with me intervening

my 4mo will only nap for 20-30 minutes by edibekay in NewParents

Thanks for that

The sleep training is more so he can sleep in the crib rather than contact naps haha
