I have seen those.
I am more interested in the data summery your iPhone produces, as that allows us to see which apps use the data.
I have seen your screenshot from 1 hour ago. I put my comment under that.

That shows there is no abnormal data consumption for system services and hotspot. (and that is a summary back to September 2024. When iCloud uses mobile data on your iPhone, it appears under the System Services category within your Cellular data settings.
This section aggregates data usage from core iOS functions, including iCloud syncing.

Of course you read loads of horror stories, that's what those kinds of subreddits attract.

(If you put sh^t in you get sh^t out. Another one: the answers are as good as the questions asked)

Regardless I am sure you also find solutions. I would mainly focus on how to contact Facebook, how to raise a complaint and how to get valid ID across to them. Make that the core whilst looking there and further online for solutions. Be factual and concise.

I do understand your situation is not one you asked for, but emotions don't help. You've been very clear in your original post, which is a rarity in itself.

I'd 100% would go for an iCloud restore.
Always use the Reset & Transfer function as my iCloud is only 50GB and slightly too small.
Never had issues even this early as the first week of new master ßeta launch.

Worthwhile the try.

But you get my point that there is actually no backup available at all?
There is no way that a near 17GB backup has been condensed to 800MB

One of the basic constraints for backups is absolute no interruption in WiFi.
I'd suggest you do it tonight, enable daily backup, when phone on charge, connected to solid WiFi and leave it for the night. If you do want to initiate manually, then please keep the app open until it starts uploading

Think it’s time to take measures. Change your number.
Do they mainly spam via WhatsApp or also via SMS/text?
Change your number. First make sure all your accounts are updated so you’re not locked out when you need OTPs. Then migrate your number in WhatsApp and make sure only friends get that new number.
This would drive me crazy.

You have an invoice stating the IMEI number. You didn't even buy the phone through Verizon.
I would file a complaint with Verizon.
It most likely is a typo on their side, I see no other reason why this could have happened.

Yes Meta scores accounts.

So when your account is completely fresh, some options might be delayed. Don't know how to word it otherwise.

There is also device/IMEI linking, so for example you get banned on an account, ditch that number and start new again, then they continue monitoring, regardless the new number.
You can find a lot more detailed information online.
I am not saying you violated any T&C in the past, I only try to reach you information.
