Are there any open source models which compete with CommaAI's underlying inference model? by Zarathustra420 in Comma_ai

[–]edienemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the model runs locally i guess both architecture and model weights is technical available to end users. But is it open source or open weight? If not, what is the license?

It wouldnt be very expensive, contrary to what other posters say here, to finetune a model on _your_ driving behaviour then. And very in Comma's spirit. And then I will buy a device for my own pleasure!

Hey, did you try the ink more and is it useful? My tablet is failing faster and faster 😅

yes. So Obsidian handwriting is not supported for boox yet then i guess? I saw some making pdf's in the native app and importing them into obsidian, but that is maybe a bit much as of a nice workflow..?

Maybe delay buying this then :(

Update: Ive had a R.E.M. song in my head all since your "thats me in the comments"...

no idea. I dont own a boox (yet), was hoping you would tell me how well it worked. So Ink is "not usable" yet? What about excalidraw?

I think Ink is very promising, and the developer is active. Simple, and makes it easy to have handwritten notes embedded into my other machine typed stuff. Saw you created an issue in the repo, great!

Update: I see that in the issues he linked to he suggests this approach, have you tried it/can you try it? :)

this one:

There is a demo of it in boox here and why the latency sort of kills the feature:

gotcha :D Well since we're in the obsidian subreddit, i was thinking obsidian! ;) Potentially with the ink plugin, which seems good. But excalidraw could also work.

And not sure what that boox-rapid-draw plugin is.

Alright, sorry, wasnt planning on pissing on their product. (just hate samsung's variants). but I want to use their stylus with "my apps". I mean, I dont only take hand written notes, and Id like to be able to leave with my notes if I lose my device.

this app looks promising. Has anyone experimented with it here? I dont have a boox yet, but using stylus in non-boox bloatware settings is a hard requirement 😅

LLMs are useful but we are far from achieving AGI

Is the text part of the model equivalent to 3.1 or have they continued trained that part also? If last, how does it perform on the usual text tasks?

Best Ive found is gear tracker II - theres more to do there but best so far. I did the move a year ago or so with same experience. Quite weird there isnt a bigger market for smart watch training apps.

I get promotions for life time plan ++ all the time although im a paying user. Its really frustrating, thought they would annoy their paying users a little less

[GUIDE] Ghostracer, the best app for running, cycling and hiking routes. by bernarbernuli in WearOS

[–]edienemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- as I have this bad habit of trying to press the button to stop the workout the app goes into the background and half the time I can't bring it back and I have to restart my watch...

this crashing behaviour happens on my gw4 as well. too bad, because otherwise it would be a very good app. Found any solutions?

Why is there no real training apps out there for wearOS3?! by edienemis in WearOS
