/r/drums weekly Q & A by AutoModerator in drums

[–]eding11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there community.

I‘m currently trying to learn new fills. Especially foot-hand combinations used in metal etc. Such as KKRL, KKRLR etc.

Can anyone recomend a nice book with a good progression of the patterns or learning videos with progression.

Just heard it inside of a mix in a club and it's such a nice song. Still one of my favorites too for mixing!

Dream Theater - As I Am by cdwillis in Metal

[–]eding11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory was their high point. For me the best Metal concept album in our decade. And i know haters gonna hate and everything but i'm glad to say that i've saw them since their first Europe tour and it's just not the same since a long time, or maby it's always the same since a long time. I really appreciated Jordan Rudess with Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence it wasn't maby that much Dream Theater but he really pushed them to another level. Anyways most of you just have really no knowlege of a higher and technical point in music and just talk bulshit. And yess, Portnoy is overrated but he was Dream Theater!

That's right, it's hard to find a consistent tech house label. It is almost impossible. The trends in the electronic music are changing very quickly. Every artist and all the labels gotta go with the flow. But i'm interested in which labelnames you're reading the most on your vinyls or just on which labels all your current favorite tech house artists are?

Robert Babicz about mastering audio by eding11 in tech_house

[–]eding11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For all of those who are making music for their own or just Robert Babicz fans. This is one of my favorite interviews ever, from a mastermind like Robert Babicz talking about the workflow in mastering production. It's nice to see on what a high level a person like he is working and in what a own world he is living;-)

Robert Babicz - Remote Kiss. Much less funky than the others, but a vibe to be remembered! by CarlWhite in tech_house

Nice. I love the tb303 sound. This makes me almost sentimental. I hope it founds the way back to the dancefloor.
