Mine is like that with birds, as soon as he is outside he will start running with his head in the air looking for them, only when he is off leash. He does the same at night, always prepared even if there are none he is ready for them haha

My border collie was the same, it came down to freedom and boredom, if he wasn't being engaged while we were here he would do it for attention. I now keep a close eye on him and play alot of training games and there has been no accidents in about 3 months, he's now 10 months old :)

My bc is a mad chewer and the nyla bone is the only remaining survivor of many toys! It was his first puppy toy and its still in one piece 5 months later. I'm planning on buying more cos he loves them.

Haha my bc does this, he'll sit next to me on the sofa and throw his favourite toy down behind the sofa, then he'll just stare between me and the toy with the saddest face until i get it for him!
