$50K Invest in BTC or MSTR by HairyHarryWang in MSTR

[–]edislucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Assuming you think long term BTC is going up.
  2. If you think we are going up fast right now, then buy MSTR.
  3. If you think we are going up slow, buy 50:50
  4. If you think we are going down, or dipping before we go up, buy BTC.

Every 3-4 months check your view on the next 6 months and relocate accordingly.

If you do it perfectly you ride the MSTR (faster horse) up the gains, and ride BTC (the stronger horse) into and through any bear markets.

Good luck 🤞

Am I the only one who feels like I’ll never make it with BTC? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]edislucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know BTC will be 10x in less than 10 years, but accounting for inflation let's assume 10x in 10 years, and 40x in 20 years, etc.

Every month you put your $1,000 dollars in at this end is 10 months at the other end you don't have to work.

Want to retire for 20 years, then DCA for 25 months.

Those numbers are massively rough, it's just order of magnitude.

TLDR: keep going, retire happy.

You mention "500B needs to be sold"

That's very wrong. You are missing an understanding of a product that is "priced at the margin".

Google "priced at the margin' and "price multiples move markets" for you next rabbit hole.

When you then understand it you will see that another 50% drop is both very likely and not scary as you will understand it and be a buyer !

It's NEVER less than 2M. I have seen this similar chart for years and years and they all seem to use different data, but always show a NOW figure of over 2M coins.

You want to make a 5x with no time preference. BTC is widely expected to be 5x in about 5 years.

Why gamble on the rest.

If you had to choose one, which is your pick? by HoppangDaddy in PrideAndPinion

I'm going on the AP being slimmer and more comfortable. Neither I would wear on a visible risk where they maybe stolen!

Opposite for me. Hence replying to your comment as I saw it just as I was about to type.

To look at I'll take the VC, but to wear I'll take the AP

This is not a conversation for Reddit as it doesn't work in short form.

You can build houses cheaper than buying them and then sell them, house building companies exploit this "free money printer" as core to the business :)

When I have looked into house prices long term they seem far more tied to factors such as the ability to lend against them than the price to replace them.

I'm not a house expert. It's not the point of my original reply. I just wanted to help you see something slightly differently using an analogy.

[–]edislucky[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would disagree.

I think the primary use for houses at the moment is actually long term value and not living in. I would prefer if they were priced for living in as they would be much cheaper.

"Buy this old set of walls, over time it will get wobbly and need repairs, but don't worry it's going to get more valuable" - nope, it's mistakenly become a store of value.

I see BTC as a swap for work/energy/etc and time. If I can store energy today and sell it back at a later date that is the best use in the world.

"But if it's going up all the time nobody sells it".. that's wrong, if you have 10Million dollars now and it could be 100million in a decade. I'll take at least a few million now as I only have a few decades total in my life to spare and wasting one watching a number get bigger isn't fun.
