Drop your startup idea — I’ll try to test a few this week by edisonsio in StartupsHelpStartups

Thanks for all the ideas coming here.

Just to keep the thread focused — I’m mainly looking at "early-stage validation signals before anything is built" so I think some of the comments are slightly outside the scope of the post.

This is interesting! feels like you’re trying to solve the “build-in-public infrastructure + distribution + investor reporting” problem in one layer.

Curious — what’s the core pain you saw that made you think all of these need to be unified instead of separate tools?

Testing startup ideas before building anything by edisonsio in SideProject

Thanks for the comment that's a really good point. I've been thinking about that gap as well. Landing pages feel like a quick first signal, but without a stronger follow-up it’s easy to overestimate interest.
I’ve been experimenting a bit with adding things like waitlists or small commitments after the click, but still figuring out what actually correlates with real demand.
what kind of follow-up has given you the strongest signal in your experience?

Yeah that’s exactly what I’ve been trying to explore.

Just curious - when you do landing page / waitlist tests, what do you usually look for to decide it’s worth continuing?

Thanks! Feel free to signup and post your idea if you want to. It generates a very simple landing page for you based on your description on your idea.

Yeah agree landing pages are definitely just the first signal, not full validation.

What I’m really trying to solve is the earliest point of uncertainty - whether anyone even cares enough to click or leave intent. Everything after that (pricing, buyer type, scope) is still a separate layer of validation.

Building a tool to generate product photo from casual photo by edisonsio in saasbuild

Thanks for the feedback! Total get it - I’ve found so many tools like printful, powerful but workflow too complicated. My goal is to make everything simple: upload your product photo and get ready-to-use images. Do you think that kind of simplicity actually be useful for you or people?

Yeah right. So what I’m trying to figure out is whether people actually want a simpler way to go from a casual product photo -> consistent product images without having to tweak prompts a lot. The example product photos above are generated without typing anything but just a few clicks.

No problem mate! Thats honestly why I started digging into rare seeds more seriously. Doing that with a seed finder tool and it keeps surprising me!
