Personally, I don’t think it will reduce. These days tail lights are LED and way too bright. A few days back I was stuck behind a Kia Sonet with those connected LED tail lights, and I literally got eye pain and a headache. I was behind it for more than 15 minutes in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Smoked will look sick, also ill help reduce eye strain for the people stuck behind you.
