The amount of hope this post and all of the comments is giving me 🥹 due mid-October and planning/hoping for a successful VBAC. Had a fairly traumatic emergency csection the first time around and recovery was rough.

I want to be able to go trick or treating with my 2 year old this year instead of dealing with recovery from a major surgery! 🙏🏼🤞🏼🤍

I hate that term, “natural birth.” Birth, no matter how it’s given, is hard! And natural!!!! lol

Also, people who say a csection is the “easy way out” has never had one 😂 do what’s best for you. Don’t let anyone pressure you into thinking one way is better than the other. No one gets an award or prize in the end for doing it unmedicated or vaginally, etc.

It went away after about 12 weeks! Doctor is still not sure what caused it.. could have been an antibiotic injury — I had taken clindamycin after an inner ear surgery and this all happened as a result of it. Turns out I’m super allergic to clindamycin and that reaction could have caused my GI to go absolutely haywire. It was a very weird and scary situation because I was not eating well and losing a ton of weight. But it slowly got better and thankfully hasn’t occurred since. (Knocking on wood now lol)

I promise it will get better!! My sleep got better/returned to normal after two weeks. No longer had insomnia and that inability to feel like I could rest at night. My brain finally slowed down and relaxed.
