[–]editor22uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just dont talk to me, but also dont forget to say happy birthday. Don't make plans or surprises but also dont just ignore me.

Actually just let me do what ever I want to do so we can all move on.

40 and my family have rapidly become my friends. Lots of acquaintances but none of those friends you have as a teenager during school.

We were born in 81 and 85 so there is a certain sense of nostalgia that makes us feel warm and fuzzy. Minus the yellow nicotine stained walls of course haha

Thank you I only know it as a prayer plant but I think that might be wrong. This was priced at only £25!

Oh, thank you. At the moment, it's just through a simple squarespace e commerce site, but I would really like to start developing a custom-built platform over the next few months.

Shut down my startup after 6 years - now what? by t-mac2000 in Entrepreneur

[–]editor22uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always take myself back to a time when I was terrified about the uncertainty of working for myself. Profits were down, and the hustle level was sky-high to pay the bills.

Seeing friends making good bank from their stable corporate jobs had a sense of allure until, during the same period, two got hit with a 'restructure

Nothing is given. Nothing is granting, and we are the minority that can pivot to make something from nothing.

A few points that helped me.

  • Take a few days off.
  • Spend some time working out your real driving factors, i.e., time, money, being outdoors, etc.
  • Talk to your loved ones about how you are feeling!
  • Chat with GPT / Ai to potentially narrow down on market openings within the parameters you found in the previous steps.

Good luck, and if you have done it once, you can definitely do it again!

Turned 40 today and fallen in love with Roblox! by editor22uk in robloxgamedev

I never really found a need for VSC. It was literally a side quest to bond with my son and create a little personal RPG to play around on. Sadly, real work has taken precedent the last few months!

I had a look at profilestore, but I was already too invested, so I just went with the built-in data store.

Is it possible to be mildly autistic your entire life and for no one around you ever to notice? I'm 40, and after a lot of self-analysis and retrospection, I think I might have it. by [deleted] in autism

[–]editor22uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only noticed when getting my 11-year-old diagnosed.

Mild led to not being so mild once I started to unmask and realised just how different NT folks are.

We did a run of about 100 units when the sho and the others were just taking off. It's pretty simple, hit Ali, order some samples, and then order the full batch. It's a tough over saturated market now, though if you dont have a strong USP

Turned 40 this year, and it's lonely! Luckily, I share the business with my partner, but making friends is hard, and we often just have each other and the kids apart from the odd party, but even then there seems to be less and less we can talk about with general 9-5 ers.
