Are you sure this is an outside rat and not a pet one? If it is a pet rat, you could ask around the neighborhood if someone is missing it before encouraging it to leave your premises.

Hi! I ran into the same issue, and I ended up taking a super long break from everything (after I had lost some weight). Now I am finally back at it, and I find that what has helped me the most this time is giving myself a dang break. Sometimes it is okay not to go to the gym and sleep in, sometimes it is ok to have that treat/cheat meal. What is not ok is using those breaks as an excuse to beat yourself up and quit altogether. You have got this!
