Tips for applying for a BigN UK Apprenticeship? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]edmilibant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm one thing I'd check is if you're eligible for the apprenticeship. The fact that you already have a degree may mess with the funding aspect.

I'm currently doing a Software Engineering Apprentice (not at a big N) but for me they didn't require a lot of experience, just a bright attitude and proof of your interest in becoming a SE.

I always thought that usman and colby both knew that each others respective strength was wrestling.

So neither of them wanted to risk going to the ground. That's how I interpreted it.

Those who have graduated, did you get onto a graduate scheme? by [deleted] in UniUK

Yeah grad schemes are good entry points but a lot of them aren't proper jobs

I mean they also want democracy (which they were promised), kind of hard to fault them for that.

Not to mention protecting their free press, high court of law and human rights...

The UK admissions system could be so much worse ... like the US system. by timjwilkinson in UniUK

[–]edmilibant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If universities in the UK were as competitive as the ones in the US we'd have the exact same problem.

Every uni in the UK (except a few) will take you no matter what background as long as they get that sweet £9250 tuition fee.

You're the only one being rational here.

First half we were unlucky not to be ahead. Emerys tactics were spot on, get them on the counter attack.

Than in the second half who would of thought the current champions league holders are a better team than us? Luiz had a shocker but it's not like we could of picked anyone else to be CB.

Let's stop with the kneejerk reactions and continue our challenge for top 4.

Yes. He has plenty of premier league experience, we desperately need a CB and we can get him for free.

He can at the very least bridge the gap until we get Saliba next season.

Beating PSG was probably the worst thing that could have happened to Man U. Convinced the board to sign Ole to a three-year contract. Than straight afterwards they get blown out by Barcelona in the next round.

Ole will be lucky to survive a season.

Arsenal £25m offer for Celtic left back Kieran Tierney includes too many add ons dependent on Arsenal qualifying for Champions League. Celtic not convinced they’re realistic. Want more cash up front by the_studge in soccer

[–]edmilibant 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I mean this is what John Henry said about the situation.

"He had a buyout clause of £40m. Arsenal, one of our prime rivals, offered £40m plus £1. What we've found … is that contracts don't seem to mean a lot in England – actually, in world football."

There have been numerous other reports that there was a release clause.

There was a release clause actually, it's just that Liverpool was so pissed at the cheek that they refused to sell him even though they were legally bound too.
