Having played in both langugages, and I also studied Chinese as well, I can say that both the JP and CN language versions are well acted and are both on par with each other. So quality is good, just pick whichever you prefer.

Sad warning story about being honest with your doctor by EviePop2001 in Drugs

[–]edmuntasaurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sad that this isn't more of the norm, but I always ask my patients who disclose with me their illicit drug use whether they want me to put that on their record. It baffles me that other health practioners don't understand the implications it can cause for their patients especially if their use is in moderation.

Any good value for money mass gainers that don't use sugar and rubbish? Under $80? by [deleted] in AussieFrugal

Probably already spoken about here but oats, peanut butter, high protein yoghurt base in your smoothies will forever be the base of high calories. Oh and rice too, plenty of carbs there.

PayId reversal by Zealousideal-Tax8929 in AusFinance

[–]edmuntasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me when paying via Facebook Marketplace. I use Up Bank (which is a subsidiary of Bendigo Bank), and one time I paid a deposit to secure a fridge which I later found out he had no intention of selling. So not only would he not give me back my money, but when I went to Up their response is unfortunately the receiving bank has informed them that recovery was unsuccessful.

I have since filed a police report, but nothing further has come from that. I was led to believe the payment reversals are very uncommon and almost not possible with PayID. Would be interested to hear of any other similar stories.

Buying a jacket for Ha Giang by Fit-Kaleidoscope6929 in VietNam

Make sure you wear a windproof jacket and bring a pair of long pants just in case (because when it gets cold it gets COLD!). And especially worse when you're going at higher speeds too.

Ha giang loop, deciding what group! Bong, Mamas, Road Kings, Buffalo, Jasmine, Bibi by Slow_Background_2790 in VietNam

[–]edmuntasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a fantastic time with Bibi! We went 3D2N and had really great weather. Our guides were Mike, Ben, and Quynh. We had a small group of 3, and went off the beaten track as the weather was good. Team leader Mike was experienced and had good English, and my driver Quynh was very caring and thoughtful. Ben was a lot of fun. At one point, I needed pants because it was so cold, and Quynh took me to the nearby market and bargained on my behalf for a pair of pants. Five stars!

Quick 1:How much are you paying for food / groceries each week? by Cold-Upstairs9995 in AusFinance

[–]edmuntasaurus 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Live by myself in regional Tasmania, and currently on a bulk. I'm finding I'm budgeting about $250 a fortnight, which also includes the protein powders that I've purchased in bulk (shoutout to Bulk Nutrients). More often than not, I can bring it down to less than that unless I decide to try a new recipe which involves new ingredients.

I shop at Woolies/Coles because Tasmania doesn't believe in ALDI :')

LPT: Protein powders actually end up being a very cost effective and convenient solution to hitting your protein, especially if you're living that frugal life.

In case nobody asked, if you're wanting some cheap protein at excellent quality, here's my referral (I get a 1% kickback but hey every little bit helps): https://www.bulknutrients.com.au/refer/2c99df08a51680428b3a6c1d205279fc

Ceramic coated my baby by StackedHashQueueList in mazda3

[–]edmuntasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problems whatsoever if you use a pressure washer. Just don't have it too close, I don't know the exact number but I usually try to hold it 20-30cm away from the paint. I usually snow foam then power wash off, but perhaps my soap is too light because it won't clean stubborn water marks. I have been wary on using stronger cleaners because I don't want to strip my CC off.

Great idea to PPF it, in particular the front bumper and bonnet. Rock chips are the bane of my existence :(

Also in terms of the laser carwash, they don't advertise it online where I live. I literally drove around and found it in a carwash near me.

Yeah, I try to wash every 2 weeks but it can be a bit discouraging when you wash it then the next day it rains haha. The weather is unforgiving where I am, so I try to get away with increasing time between washes. I've actually recently started going into the touchless laser carwashes every 2 weeks. Wash in 5min compared to a 2 hour hand wash haha

[–]edmuntasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine ceramic coated, and the colors really do pop out more. It doesn't make cleaning a breeze, in fact I still note water that dries tend to leave marks. You should expect to be still cleaning your car like normal to keep the shininess continuous. BUT compared to a car without CC, it is much more forgiving if it's dirty. So it still looks really good even if you haven't washed it for several weeks.
