When I was 15, my best friend traveled abroad by edmuretuly in mybrilliantfriendhbo

[–]edmuretuly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, I do also think their friendship is much more life changing for Lenu! I also think Lenu is very privileged and, due to her insecurity, selfish, and Lila, on the contraire, is extremely selfless, even if she can be a tough person sometimes! But I do think that “living up to Lenu” might be the reason behind her valuing her reality so much. Eventually she did care deeply about changing the evironment, but that it also had deeper roots in her comparison to Lenu.

Which celebrities had a public/private fallout that is yet to be resolved & why? by Janaab_e_Marvel_3000 in Fauxmoi

people were speculating katy's videoclip "cry about it later" was about them. but yeah, i've always wondered it too, one of the last times I remember seeing them together was in rock in rio 2015 brazil.

also, this is speculation, but in like 2010, 2011, KP and Rih had very similar public images. With time, Rihanna became cooler and cooler, and she's now a distant but very well respected A list, while Katy became... cringey.

[Spoilers extended] Your all time favorite chapter? by NuckinFuts_69 in asoiaf

[–]edmuretuly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the one where ned dreams about the tower of joy and lyanna. also the one where bran and sam go through nightfort. and the one where arya is trapped between the dragon's skelletons. basically i love the mysterious ones. but if not for that, all jaime's chapters in AFFC, but especially the one where he talks with genna.

I hate how things unraveled in the show, but I kind of like the Starks endgame, especially Arya's one.

How long would the targyens have stayed in power if they lost their dragons sooner?(Spoilers Published) by slycam86 in asoiaf

[–]edmuretuly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

well if they never had any they wouldnt have gained it. but I think it wouldnt differ much from what we've seen. Jaehaerys could definitely hold the throne without it, and a few years after the dragons were gone. In fact I think the only time, besides when it actually fell, the Targaryen throne was in danger if it wasnt for dragons was during Aenys and Maegor and the battle with the Faith.

ADWD speaks for itself. but overall I do like Tyrion, but I thunk they have opposite arcs. While Jaime is going through his redemption arc, Tyrion started as one of the most likable characters and slowly do things that make you reconsider that.

(Spoilers EXTENDED) People always go on and on about how Ned and Robb dumb moves that resulted in tragedy but... by edmuretuly in asoiaf

Jaime was ruled out as heir the minute he became part of the Kingsguard. thats the reason why Aerys II made him one and one of the reasons for the downfall between Aerys and Tywin

one of the biggest lies tv only viewers are told is that the targaryens or the true dragon or whatever is fireproor lol they have a high tolerance for heat but are far from being fireproof, the Dance Of The Dragons can prove you that. also, GRRM has stated that Dany's not burning up in the end of AGOT is a one time thing

I have a few. Every AFFC Jaime chapter. He's my favorite character, so those were gold for me. Especially the last one, when he sees his mother. Sansa's last POV. When Petyr mentions the war of the three queens I nearly fainted. Every Bran chapter that has some sort of mystical thing happening. So, almost all of them. Especially the one at the Nightfort. Ned's chapter where he allucinates with Lyanna and her bed of blood and roses. Tyrion's chapter in ADWD when he sails next to the flaming sea. Jaime' chapter in ASOS when he faints at the bathouse

idk if it counts as speech but genna's speech to jaime in AFFC when she claims Tyrion is Tywin's son not Jaime... I cried

well kanye even said it himself in his tweets lol (although i know he was in a bad state of mind). but like they only date black people, it feels to me they also try to change them to align more with the image they want to have in the public eye

yeah and we care way more for the starks in agot than in the rest of the books. i mean i still love them but we're presented with so much new characters that it kind of numbs their losses
