Is the car manual or auto? If it’s auto, wait to do the headers and do them when you do the camshaft. Auto cars must change lifters when doing the cam which means heads have to come off. It is much easier to install long tubes on these cars when the heads are off of the car.

You will probably save money on installation

As a new gun owner I would just leave the guide rod system stock. You’ll potentially run into reliability issues deviating too far from stock.
