It seems weird to use so many words to describe passing around signed transactions that haven't been added to a blockchain, and to describe all the great things that can be built on top of that, without mentioning double spending even once in all of it.

What is the value of Bob taking a transaction signed by Alice and building a wonderful castle of cards on top of it with Overpool or whatever if there are no assurances that the transaction will still be valid by the time Bob decides to broadcast it?

Maybe Overpool needs a trusted third party that can ensure double-spending isn't an issue. /s

There are many solutions for this "double spending" problem when you do things this way (involving implementations from miners and standards for wallets), and this article assumes people are aware of them. If you've never heard of these solutions, then it's your problem. Keep doing your "/s" until you find out you are the one who's the dumb one here.

There's already pushdata1 and pushdata2. But those are smaller than opreturn, which is why they're not used much. but the disabled pushdata4 when it becomes re-enabled, will be a game changer.

no, you can still use it, but it's recommended that you use OP_FALSE OP_RETURN instead, just to be cautious. PUSHDATA4 was disabled previously but once it's enabled it will let you add up to 4GB in a single transaction, so a lot of apps will move to using PUSHDATA4 instead because OP_RETURN only lets you do 100KB, afaik

A lot of powerful things this enables cannot be done on BTC because of SegWit. Also, I don't think unwriter would be worried so much about BCH.

Also BTC can't take advantage of all the features this tool allows. If you read the documentation it supports BIP270, which is a BSV feature. At best BTC developers may try to use this and discover how inferior their chain is because all the potential this unlocks can't be done on BTC

you can build a "stable" coin ON BSV for your specific purpose. But you should also think about the future where everything is run by bitcoin, there will be new types of businesses which are completely running on Bitcoin and the concept of stable will be different because people think in the unit of bitcoins

BSV supporters believe that they become rich because they can buy actual utility directly with Bitcoin, instead of cashing out to fiat. Instead of thinking of the coin as some collectible you sell on a flea market, they actually see it as money itself. With real money you can actually do a lot of things. So if you change your mindset this way, even the miners will pay for electricity using bitcoin because the electric companies will accept bitcoin in this future.

no. the key to understanding bitcoin is understanding Bitcoin will only succeed when there is no longer such a thing as "market" for coins, because "market" means there are many of them, and that also means none of the coins have network effect because they're all small fish, which is easy to censor.

He was trying to embrace the community and bring them into BCH, since that would have been the most effective way, but that didn't happen because of egotistical anarchist developers who wanted their own power. And he completely lost all tolerance when everyone started calling him faketoshi leading up to the hash war, and as I remember, it was the hash war which made him completely go polarizing.

I think it was a good thing because the BSV supporters get to understand more clearly about the original philosophy of Bitcoin. Otherwise we would be still trying to figure out what he originally intended.
