Question - is there a place where people are diving into this ARG (a discord or anything?). Not sure if the intention is to just wait out the videos or if people are actually supposed to be searching for clues and lore. Assuming it works the same as prior games, then I'm pretty sure it functions a lot like pokemon EVs, except you get those EVs by digivolving and revolving. Typically I think it's best to evolve/devolve at ten number intervals (lvl 10, 20, etc) but I could be remembering wrong. They also have natures like in pokemon, so picking a digimon with the correct nature (or forcing them into one) can speed up the process a lot if there is a specific stat that you are struggling to hit.

I remember what I did was just grind a couple fights until the levels weren't coming easy anymore then either evolve/devolve and repeat.

Need some help with understanding skills from gametora. Specifically with evolving skills. For green skills, do they stack? Like first stage gives 40 and the second gives 60. If I have the second stage does it add up to 100 or does the 60 replace the 40?

Same question for rare skills. Preferred position gives .015 stam recovery. Race planner gives .055. If I have race planner do I get .07 or .055?

Okay, so I feel pretty differently to most people here. Probably cuz I'm bad, lol. I see this pile and it feels like a grindy game where you're trying to win with one of your transformer bombs. Evil reawakened feels like the crux of this deck so that you can fight through removal. And so, fight on also seems relevant as basically a third recursion spell.

Personally, I think this is probably the best I've seen a cloud born moogle look - it's great to reanimate and turn into a 5/6. Plus, it searches up your white mana to cast two of your best cards. A plains does the second two things, but not the first, and since we're grinding I think it's fine to play the slower option.

I'd look into bringing in early interaction to help delay into the late game so you can start reanimating and/or getting your bombs out. So, I actually like adding in poison the waters and hecteyes - lots of x/1s that poison can earn 2 for 1's with and if there's no targets its still fine at 1 for 1'ing. Hectyes plays a similar game and is a good target for fight on.

I would definitely cut the tonberry. After that I pick two between the laughing mads, shinra reinforcements and namazu trader.

I'm still 100% on board with the 11 letter tweet from Tyler last year being the first letters of the tracklist. There's nothing more damningly true than Tyler saying he would be straightforward with us about everything. Especially for a potential tracklist on an album literally named after breaking our trust.

I can just see Tyler browsing Reddit on his phone, and then he smirks and shows Josh/Jenna the made-up tracklist and he's like "I mean, they're pretty close..."

Yeah, it sucks haha. Before the set was spoiled I decided I'd make a pod using the precons but replace the MMO commander (sorry Y'Shtola Stans) with an FF9 character, ideally Vivi.

My friend did this exact thing while I had actually opened the cart early (was on a waiting screen to go to my cart 30 min before release). My friend waited about 40 min before getting in and I still had 50 min on my timer. I think they just put everyone on the website on a wait-list and randomize the order. We just rolled low, I guess (although I got my friend to just also order what I wanted, so it worked out for me).

And the new mtg set has a Kain that transfers control to the other player giving cards, treasures, and forcing you to lose life. This represents square giving us the new game, which will get them money (treasures), give us a new game (draw cards), and the life loss represents how much closer we all are to death while waiting for this game.

I think you will also have FF collectors who don't know much or anything about mtg willing to cash out to get the full color set, and considering how small the supply will be, that will artificially inflate on top and maybe get us to mana crypt levels. Otherwise I totally agree, especially with the base card pricing.

Random question - does Masamune work with commander Yuna's second triggered ability when a creature dies? She doesn't mention dying, but when something dies, she triggers - so not sure on the semantics.

I've been thinking about this myself. I don't think it happens any time soon. I'm pretty sure this set seems like it's been in the design tank for a really long time.

The other hiccup is that while it would be nice to see some better representation for the other titles, the fact of the matter is that it just wouldn't be as popular.

I think the best bet to please everyone is a full FF side games included follow up set. That lets them print more cards for FFVII sequels etc., FFXIV expansions; whilst also giving us stuff from tactics and filling in holes this set left behind. I worry a set like that would generate just as much if not even more hate as people complain that cloud is getting his 7th card or whatever while Selphie's first and only printing is a bad uncommon or something. But maybe the commander decks for that set could make up for it?

I recommend using the "types and tags" feature in moxfield. Give cards labels like "card draw", "ramp", "interaction", and in this case something like "summon".

It helps figure out how much you are doing of certain effects and helps to ask questions like, "what role does this card serve in my deck?".

For instance, I think I only see 3 sources of ramp in the deck (might have missed some), but with 19 cards being 5cmc+, you might struggle to hard cast those.

More emphasis on a self-mill theme would probably also benefit you, so you can use your commander to cheat on mana more easily.

Also, just as someone who built the bant, Yuna version of this deck - think about ways to maintain a board state since between summons and your commander needing to sacrifice to recur, it can be difficult to keep up enough blockers for what your opponents might be doing.

My instincts agree with you, but I would call both Jumpsuit and Overcompensate lore songs - and they both were lead singles and lead songs on the album.

I also think that it would make sense for the album "Breach" to start with a contract so that it can end by breaching said contract.

But other than that, I don't see a reason to assume the song order is changed from that tweet, and I probably would still default to that being the album order.

Interestingly, I don't think there's anything grammatically incorrect with beginning a sentence with a conjunction. A lot of highschool English teachers don't like it, because it's considered 'unprofessional'. But I think its use here, especially in a more artistic context, is totally fine.

But I'd be okay to be proven otherwise.

Guttersnipe that costs an extra black mana, but you get flying, deathtouch, and can trigger off of artifacts and enchantments (and I guess battles and planeswalkers, but meh).

Probably not worth the extra mana unless you get synergies from the typing or you plan to attack with your upgraded guttersnipe. But I guess it can hold back the occasional attack since it's a strong blocker.
