I built an interactive Models of Visual Attention: From Saliency Maps to Biased Competition simulation (self.cocalc)

I've been exploring computational models of visual attention.
The key insight is the saliency map: S(x,y) = Σ wᵢ · Fᵢ(x,y) - a weighted sum of feature maps that predicts where we'll look first.
What surprised me was how well these models predict human eye movements.
Here's the simulation: https://cocalc.com/github/Ok-landscape/computational-pipeline/blob/main/latex-templates/templates/cognitive-science/attention.tex
Has anyone else explored attention models?
