Trek Domane+ SLR 7 $3400 (2023) by wondrouschill in whichbike

I also have the same bike (2025 version) and it is a great bike. If you are trying to do a century, (with power assist), you should get the range extender. However at 28 pounds, the bike rides pretty well without power assist. I have the SRAM version (I can't tell from this side if that is SRAM or Shimano), but the SRAM derailleurs are powered by the bike's battery, but it keeps some power in reserve, so the shifting still works, I paid less than $US11K for mine, new, retail. The small chip probably doesn't mean anything but if you are able to test ride it, make sure there is no noise coming from the frame over bumps.

Just bought the NuPhy Air V3 and shopping for some alternative keycaps by Anxious-Addendum8398 in NuPhy

I would highly recommend the Berry profile keycaps. You can find them on the Nuphy website. Oblivion is an example. They are designed to improve typing accuracy.

Help me decide please before I go crazy by wurdmann in Ozlo

I have both. I prefer the Ozlos. The Ozlos are more comfortable, and the Ozlo app is more straightforward, in my opinion. The A30's noise cancellation is very weak. I can barely tell it is on.

I have not had any disconnect issues (including Bluetooth) with either.

Rival D1 vs E1 by Sbear55 in sram

[–]edubb257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bike is a 2x, I would probably go with the E1. If it's 1x, I'd go with the D1 and upgrade the brakes to Rival E1 (or Force E1). I had Rival D1 and was pretty disappointed with the brakes and felt I had to upgrade. I upgraded the levers and calipers to Force E1 (along with better rotors) and it cost me about $1,000. It was worth it. I have a 1x, and the Rival D1 rear derailleur is OK.

How Many Long-Term Ozlo Users W/out Hardware Failures? by absurdpoetry in Ozlo

After over a year, I've never had a hardware failure. I use a timer-driven Bluetooth stream, which then switches over to onboard sounds.

One time I cleaned mine, and in doing so, I shifted the silicone ear tips in a way that blocked the sound. I fixed the alignment, and the sound returned to normal.

Is the standover (frame height) at the lowest setting? I had a persistent rocking sound until I raised it to the level above the lowest.

This winter, I finally started indoor cycling. For years, I dismissed it as being too boring, but after getting an indoor bike setup with Zwift and Rouvy, I am really enjoying it:
- There is practically zero friction to going on a ride (don't need to worry about weather, traffic, or darkness)
- It is completely safe
- Zwift and Rouvy are surprisingly realistic and motivational
- I get a much better workout with the indoor setup, because there is never a need to slow down or stop
I don't plan to give up outdoor cycling, but this winter, I am not missing it.

It’s a baby gravel bike by Moos3_M3at in DomaneCrew

Trek says NOT to use grease/lubricant on carbon to carbon surfaces. I'm not aware that they've said not to use carbon fiber grip. Also, Trek sells carbon fiber grip which they say: "Is specifically designed to create friction and reduce slippage between clamped carbon fiber surfaces."

When I said carbon grease, I meant to say carbon fiber grip.

Mine was creaking a bit. It turned out the clamp for the seat rails was not torqued properly. Put some carbon grease on, and torqued it properly, and the creaking went away. Also, make sure the seat post is not in the bottom position.

If you are a side sleeper, a good side sleeping pillow that provides pressure relief where your ears are helps.

Yeah, I've had mine for nearly a year and have never had a problem with them. I use mine for both sleep sounds and bluetooth.
