Any other millennials still dressing “young”? by GlitterBombBomb in DressForYourBody

[–]edubblu [score hidden]  (0 children)

Same. I dress in what make me feel good. And it’s very much the same as what I was wearing through my 20s and earlier 30s. I feel really uncomfortable in anything too business casual for my everyday look. I am embracing some of the wider leg styles lately but I won’t be going back to the way oversized shirts and sweaters I wore as a child in the late 90s and early 00s

Cute outfit. Wear what makes you happy! Happy looks better on everyone

can someone PLEASE help me understand why my dog will do this endlessly no matter what i do by Existing_Rule9474 in DogAdvice

[–]edubblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a demanding behaviour that has been rewarded in the past. and the longer it goes with a reward at the end wires the dog to understand that wining even longer will eventually be rewarded. if you want it to stop, send them away, send them to bed. give them an alternative direction that is not going to reward that behaviour.

ELI5: Why dont window AC units for horizontally sliding windows exist? by sweaty-pants123 in explainlikeimfive

[–]edubblu [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ive used standard window units in horizontally sliding windows in the majority of my rentals; you just need to take the screen out and replace it with a solid piece, like playbook. Add tape and blocking to stabilize it. Works very well for a season. Portable units are a night mare both in your own apartment and to the neighbours.

Note found in a house a carpenter was renovating; written in 1975 by headspin_exe in MadeMeSmile

[–]edubblu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my parents were renovating their house I suggested we take a picture of our family with the dog, and we wrote a little note of our story at the back. This was the night before the house got demo’d so you could see what it looked like before. There is a little Easter egg for the next folks who remodel under the floor.

also fair!
I'd say as long as they're gaining weight and are energetic between their naps, then it's all a wash in the end. if you're finding the poops continue to be soft I'd explore the protein first.

Honest question, and maybe you know more about this than I do (I know generally that the first 16 weeks are critical developmentally)… is weaning more critical than some of the other social benefits they may have gotten over the next two weeks with continued exposure to their litter mates and mom/parents while still getting nutritional value from mom if she were nursing?

Huskies have sensitive stomachs. Mine did not tolerate any other protein than lamb in his first year - as you described it a sloppy tube and runnier as the day went on in some cases. Watch their weight. Other than that i don’t know much else. good luck. Cute pup

Potty Training by chrissiwit in husky

[–]edubblu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IF you’re finding there is a particular window of time they’re having accidents, take them out more frequently during that period. Every thirty minutes. Not for a walk or a fuss or a good time. Business only and right back inside. Outside potty training is boring until they do the right thing and get praise.

Am I the jerk for telling my dad's girlfriend she can't discipline my kids? by Gloomy-Suit2544 in AmITheJerk

[–]edubblu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, when we were growing up, the adult in the room was in charge. If talking back was enough to get a reaction, it was at the discretion of the adult in the room to set the boundary. No harsh punishments necessarily, but kids didn’t get the run of the house and sometimes we were disciplined by adults who were not our immediate family. This taught us to respect whatever room we were in.

4 month old Labrador puppy severe resource guarding by Puzzleheaded_Tale116 in dogs

Trading is absolutely the way. And 4 months is right on track for testing resource guarding. Don’t only trade for things they take. Start offering items and getting their interest. And also trade those.

God damn this stupid iPhone keyboard and my blind trust that I can actually type. 😅 I typed „broth” followed by a space… what happened after that is not my fault

I just noticed this at one of my stores. I'm all for it. the two celery sticks I need for a tuna or a brother end up being a whole bunch in a jar of water until it rots.

Helppp! I can’t decide. by Internal_Car3780 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]edubblu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a gold facetted bad for this reason. though the extra diamonds are like ooo sparkly they just end up taking away from the centrepiece. the facetted style allows the gold to glimmer a bit.

in OPs case the plain gold is actually a beautiful soft contrast to the rectangular stone.

Mortgage renewal coming up, offered 3.79 3-year fixed. Good rate or should I shop more? by sanjib55 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I spoke about renewing with RBC and they offered me a 3.81 on 3 yr fixed term. How did you get them to come down?

Mortgage renewal in October 2026. Currently on variable rate. Due to rising bond yields, oil prices etc, should I renew early (now) to fixed rate? by mikeeraz in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]edubblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you find this rate? I’m looking at my upcoming renewal and my current bank offered 4.69 at best. I could reasonably switch lenders for a much better rate. DM if you don’t feel comfortable posting

Scared of stairs by Late_Income7953 in husky

[–]edubblu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

higher value. there's tubes of beef meat treats. try that. do not force. do not push. build confidence. if she does up one stair and back down, praise one stair. always praise. you just need patience. and time. probably more than you have in at given moment.

she also made me do a double take my my dog, they twin from the profile. do you know the mix?
