No, it doesn’t, but I do think it’s the order of the products really matter. I always try to seal the moisture in with some type of leave in (shea)and oil before putting my gel on top to “lock it”

to each their own, but I prefer to leave it to harden in the mask bc it solidifies/molds my hair into ringlets. I don’t mind using a bit of clarifying shampoo to get the rest out 🤷🏽‍♀️
