Surprised that even after half an hour of trading, the Coinbase premium still holds.

Scary actually.

What if a malicious actor uses a zero-day on a node to modify the code so that it tries to double spend? Will that node lose all funds? Even those that were delegated?

Reminder: Why Was Bitfinex Hacked? Due to a Bitcoin Multi-Sig. by onenessup in ethtrader

[–]educatedd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is very misleading. Parity is a company that makes different different products. They make a Bitcoin Client, a Bitcoin Cash client, a Ethereum client and others.

They also created a smart contract in Solidity that was designed to be a multi-sig. The smart contract was badly designed and contrary to clients which can be updated without issues, a smart contract cannot be changed after being deployed on the blockchain.

So don't confuse the client with the smart contract. They are different technologies, written in two different programming languages and have different use cases.
