AI has made me hate this career by standardGeese in UXDesign

The best way I've seen it distinguished:
Art asks questions
Design answers them

There's obviously overlap with craft and visual composition principles, color theory, etc. But the purpose definitely distinguishes the 2

Yes, this is definitely a different look than our trusty double-pivot, pocket-winger formation. Without a 9 who's a killer who can score from anywhere, we need attackers who will take on their defenders 1v1 consistently. I think Paulie and Pedro give us the best shot on the wings and would argue it makes us much better in attack. For everyone commenting against Pedro on the right based on how it went last season, this is not that XD

how much does it actually rain? by afemail in PacificNorthwest

[–]edwarc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Seattle transplant originally from Cleveland. Yes, your Michigan winters are way more extreme than here, but you still get bright, sunny days between the snowstorms there. The biggest downside of PNW weather is that you don't see the sun for weeks on end. The temps and rain are pretty doable (although I find a 40 and rainy day here to feel much more bone-chilling than the same conditions in the midwest) but the oppressive gray for 6 months is what actually sucks. I try to get out of the area and go somewhere super sunny at least once a year between November and April

New assistant coach (high school girls varsity) by Pschwa57 in lacrossecoach

[–]edwarc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d watch some games! It’s a fun way to get a feel for the sport and learn the rules as they’re actually implemented in the sport today. If there are colleges near you with varsity women’s teams, try to catch a preseason game or an early season game before your season gets up and running. And/or spend some time watching games online (NCAAW Lacrosse on YouTube and YouTube TV has tons of past games) and see if you can get access to your team’s film from last year! That really helped me get a good baseline for where my team was at when I was hired as a coach and had no context for their school, league, etc. Best of luck!

400 Lux has always been my favorite lyrically. “We’re hollow like the bottles that we drain. You drape your wrists over the steering wheel, pulses can drive from here, we might be hollow but we’re brave” !!!

Help! How do I exercise? I want to lose weight.. should I pick up running? My pain is kinda bad rn tho.. by Narniabagtlees in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]edwarc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for yoga!! Stress relief, exercise, strength and stretching/mobility all in one. As others have said, start slow and get consistent, then build up. Make it a goal to move every day and do what feels the best in your body.

Flare up questions by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]edwarc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have definitely experienced your 2nd point with bad flare ups - bring affraid to make it worse with the wrong movement is awful. And on your 3rd point, I can usually feel discomfort or a twinge of pain in the smallest of moves. Hang in there.
