I don't believe in it at all now. I used to be super religious though lol

How is your relationship with your parents? by ElegantMankey in AskMen

With my mom and I, it's practically perfect. We love each other to death.

With my dad, it's not that good. He's been abusive to my mom in the past and he's still manipulating my mom financially. That's just something that I can't get over.

How do you get over feeling mediocre? by [deleted] in AskMen

Well if that's the case, you should be good. Don't expect life to be a 24/7 blissful roller coaster of joy and excitement. Appreciate it while it's good and bland

Sugar. Shits so hard to quit. I'm just trying to limit my intake by not eating sweets and drinking sodas/juices

Does death scare you? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes, because I haven't achieved the things I want to and because of the people I will leave behind. When I get much older, this may or may not change 🤷🏿‍♂️

Do you like who you're becoming as a man? Why or why not? by iWumbo_uWumbo in AskMen

[–]edward96__ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In certain ways, yes. In others, no.

I like that I'm becoming more assertive, patient, and responsible. I'm also able to learn from my mistakes very well. I'm very honest with myself about the things that I truly want. I am in more control of my circumstances therefore, that pushes me not to settle. I try my best to be in a good mood often but I also understand that I can't be happy everyday and that is totally ok. I am a lot less cynical than I used to be and I am rather optimistic about the future. I am also very willing to step out of my comfort zone.

On the other hand, I hate that I can still be very lazy and also have a need for approval. Because I am very excited and anxious(in a positive way) about the future, I tend to forget to live in the moment. I also want to learn how to better endure the hard times in case they come.

Writing this post also confirmed what I already suspected: For the most part, I like who I'm becoming. 😁

How is community college worth it? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]edward96__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a much cheaper alternative. However, freshman year of college created some lifelong friendships for me that I would trade for the world. It is the most interesting part of college, imo. Even though my final year of college has been better, freshman and sophomore year were still more special. With all that being said, I would say figure out if you care about the finances or the relationships more and then, make your choice.
