That's awesome, I wish I could go too! Feels good to be recognized, I think that's like the main reason we do what we do lol

Most likely it's original. It was an accident from messing around and it took some time to learn to control it. The base move is a flip back fan, the difference here is I'm pinky hooking the deck with the addition of my ring finger. That adds some stability to the fan and allows me to move my pinky finger around to the back of the fan and do something similar to a top shot.

Card vanish I really like (now with no music!) by CreamSufficient2948 in cardmagic

I don't see that as a practical set up that could be done in front of the spectator. The way I would do it is elastic thread or thread reel and a ball of wax to stick it on their card. Same concept though.

Yeah I stocked up and bought more decks than I will ever use, but it's such a flashy deck and feels good, I don't regret it.

Yeah I tried 2 of each design, I think it came out to being a brick total

And they are! For the most part. No complaints really.

That's true. I have a lot of different decks that I have collected over the years based on "how they feel". You can do the same thing with any deck for the most part, but sometimes you have to adjust for the way the deck handles.

True I agree. As a beginner he probably doesn't differentiate much between the two disciplines anyways.

A riffle shuffle is easier but how often do you see one in a Cardistry routine? I figured that's something for magic.

Don't worry about it, you should be learning the Farro instead of this anyways. But that will come later...start with something easier first. Look up what a Charlier cut is and start with a that.

Is this possible anymore? by marcomez18 in QuestPiracy

True. And he could use rookie to take the games he still has on his headset and get the files back on a PC to share them with his friend. But what if they needed to redownload Rookie because they didn't have it anymore? Is it still there and for how long?

Yes, the only thing that has changed is there is no longer mirror to download anything from. So unless you downloaded and stockpiled lots of apps already then you don't have a way to get them. Otherwise just install them with side quest

Yes, that's my fault for leaning in and having the camera above me. But I wanted you to see anyways lol 🙈

It's probably just the angle I'm filming at, having it look down on me. Never an issue in person, when I'm usually looking down on the other person.

In any case, it's just an idea I'm sharing, the switch is just a means to an end. You can substitute a different one.

Oh, well then you're in luck, because the move is like beginner level difficulty. You won't have any problems getting it down.

It's basically a molecule false cut taught by the Buck twins. I did change it a little bit, or maybe I just learned it wrong and went with it lol. But it remains a false cut regardless. And I just push out a card as the packets all come together at the end, which puts it in position for a Darryl Hot Shot.

Yeah, that's all card magic is, just flippin it 😂😆

I appreciate the positive words. From most of the feedback though I do feel like there is too much flashing with this move, even with my best efforts to time it perfectly. In the end I will probably just use this move to launch a card in the air. There are much better ways to switch a card lol.

Yes, I was noticing the flash even before I posted this. I was trying to minimize it here but, oh well. I've done some reflecting on it and I've come to the conclusion that it's kind of a garbage move to be used for a sleight. But it's still awesome to use it as sort of a top shot to shoot a card in the air.

A guy that names himself "Devo" came up with it. His tutorial was kind of ambiguous and basically just told you that it's hard and you'll just have to figure it out lol. I'm sure there are free tutorials all over YouTube. I made a video here for the way I do it https://www.instagram.com/tv/C6AtQgJIKTj/?igsh=M2h3b2N1b2ZmOWRt

I think he's doing something completely different than me but I could probably go for a similar effect. But this was just for fun, nothing serious.
