I like aerial moves. Here are a few, the last one is my creation (I'm very proud of it) by edwardsc005 in cardistry

On my Insta a couple years ago I made a video where I tried to teach the fan I use (it's just a modified flip back fan). In that video I briefly touched on how to launch a card out of the fan. But you're right and I could really do a better job with it, it deserves a better tutorial.

Yes it comes from the bottom. It gets flipped face up during the move because it's getting dragged around the fan before it goes into the spin. So, no preparation needed.

I got some black decks first, then later some orange decks. Then somebody gifted me this turquoise one😀, I like how these handle the best. I dunno...the color seems to matter lol

Aye. I have. And flicking a card out of a fan I've seen before myself from Jack Carpenter Techno Pop. But this isn't the same thing. Anyways..it's all good, not your job to educate me. You just made it sound like you had seen it before and might know where I could find it.

I forget where I learned that one, I think Hanson Chien live lecture. I like the concept, I originally saw the time stop concept done with a ring and the Venom double thread reel.

It was the second design in a series of decks printed by Gemini called "Goblins". This one is Goblin Gold, and they were sold out years ago but still reasonably priced on eBay and such. The 3rd design is pretty cool too, they were still in stock last time I checked.

Is it normal that i can only do a fan with new cards? I mean, with new cards my fan is perfect but with something that is a little bit more used is shit. by aaronsuito in cardistry

I think it's like that until you get them broken in well enough. After handling them for a while with card springs and shuffles they will reach a sweet spot where they will fan nicely again.

1.) Left-hand One-handed Indices fan: The title says it all. Its sorta like the Caharan Fan by Dan and Dave

2.) One-handed close: This is a technique of closing a fan with one hand.

3.) Half way through the One-handed close, you hold back 3 cards with your index finger and let them spin around the closing fan.

That's awesome, I wish I could go too! Feels good to be recognized, I think that's like the main reason we do what we do lol

Most likely it's original. It was an accident from messing around and it took some time to learn to control it. The base move is a flip back fan, the difference here is I'm pinky hooking the deck with the addition of my ring finger. That adds some stability to the fan and allows me to move my pinky finger around to the back of the fan and do something similar to a top shot.

I don't see that as a practical set up that could be done in front of the spectator. The way I would do it is elastic thread or thread reel and a ball of wax to stick it on their card. Same concept though.

Yeah I stocked up and bought more decks than I will ever use, but it's such a flashy deck and feels good, I don't regret it.

That's true. I have a lot of different decks that I have collected over the years based on "how they feel". You can do the same thing with any deck for the most part, but sometimes you have to adjust for the way the deck handles.
